NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDate: July 2023. We absolutely love Baldwin! My 4 year old reads, and it began with Phonics at school at age 3. They use fun activities like preparing a huge birthday card to encourage writing, reading and drawing. Social emotional development, learning through play, varied fun crafts and activities, fun and informational themes for each week and so many fun events throughout the year to involve families. The principal and staff really care about the students. Safe drop off and safe pick up. My kid loves school and looks forward to it. Teachers also recognize different paces or stages of development and learning and pace the teaching as per the child's stage. Scribbling or pretend writing is also encouraged as a step towards writing. Communication with teachers is easy and transparent. Date: July 2023Parent Review2y ago5 Reviews - Boston Latin School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe level of learning at this school is amazing. Students are pushed to be their best academically. There are also so many opportunities available for students that give them experiences no other school offers. My only complaint is that I wish they did more typical high school events like homecoming dance and events to get families and students together outside of the classroom.Parent Review2y ago19 Reviews - Boston Latin Academy

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are so happy at the Hernandez! It’s a great community and many of the teachers have been at the school for a long time and are still excited to be back every year. We have one child in pre-K and one in second and the bilingual education is wonderful. The principal is great and very accessible, and there’s lots of parent engagement.Parent Review2y ago6 Reviews - Murphy K-8 School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is extremely bad. The students here are incredibly disrespectful, swear a lot, fight, bang on doors, and even fight on campus very frequently, especially in 7th grade where they push each other a lot. I repeat, fighting is extremely, extremely bad. Students hide in the restrooms smoking e-cigarettes, and if students swear, the teachers turn a blind eye. The skipping rate at this school is extremely high. For example, I was in recess in the gym until lunchtime, and for some reason another student pushed me hard. In short, if you're choosing a school for your child, avoid this one.Student Review4mo ago9 Reviews - Roger Clap Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is pretty decent but also has its downs. I'm just going to give a quick summary: the men's bathrooms have piss all over the floor, the school does almost nothing to stop fights in middle school. But, the school also teaches well in math and english. Until these things are improved, I do not recommend this school.Student Review3y ago2 Reviews - Kenny Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageReported stolen items from this school (from a school play.) They didn’t do anything. Also, this school is perfect for rich children of wealthy parents. But if you’re of low income, don’t even bother about putting your child in this school. They will feel/be excluded and shunned to the side because of their class meanwhile the rich students whose parents have connections will be pandered to. This school is atrocious. Would not recommend.Other Review11mo ago20 Reviews - East Boston Early Childhood Center

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePLEASE READ IF YOUR THINKING ABOUT MOVING YOUR CHILD OR MOVING YOURSELF TO THIS SCHOOL!!!! This school is horrible, they suck at handling bullying situations. Everyone who attends that school are so disrespectful and will tease you or bully you just by not even doing anything to them. The school sucks at helping make students feel safe and comfortable. They never do anything to the people who bully others. I once attended this school for 5 years straight and it was one of the most hardest, horrible, mentally exhausting years of my life. It wasn’t till last year i decided to leave that school from all the bullying none of the kids there have home training and are disrespectful to teachers and other students. Teachers never care about how you as a student feel. This school really did ruin my life i was diagnosed with anxiety, depression, and social anxiety and i believe that all my diagnoses was caused from this school and the horrible people in there. Never over share with teachers/counselors cause they will use it against you and will report you. Students nor teachers have empathy. There are fights that occur often due to kids having no home training and poorly counseling. If any teacher or person who works at this school try listening to the kids who get harassed and bullied at your school and do something effectively to solve the situation have the kid who bullies or teases others punished why does the kid who gets bullied and harassed have to get punished?? why are they forced to overshare then get threatened to get reported or sent to a mental hospital? in what way is that right? check in with students who seem distant from others thats usually the target the other students pick on to bully what’s so hard about that? care about your students fix them stop tryna paint the school online as some fun accepting school when reality its not. DO NOT send your child here there is a 50% chance that your child will get bullied and later have mental health issues. The school absolutely sucks at handling bullying situations, fights, and mental health issues. How are kids supposed to feel safe if theres a fight occurring almost everyday or someone thinks that they are greater than everyone else that they have to treat others poorly FOR NO REASON. I am still suffering my social anxiety is horrible so is my depression. Everyday i get ptsd and all the bullying situations still haunts me till this day. I am still insecure of myself and i have no faith in myself anymore.Other Review7mo ago4 Reviews - Boston Teachers Union School
