"Friendly and accepting, we have BL ock events and celebrations. We also occasionally have Front Yard Fridays - we hang out in our front yard just to be outside and be seen. You’d be amazed how that changes the vibe of a neighborhood to feel safe and friendly. "
  • Hkmbqvhryx
"There is a park nearby which is perfect for walking and playing with your dog. Walking around the neighborhood is always a good option also."
  • Shwz62v6yc
"Long Beach is huge but broken down into neighborhoods. We have an active parks and recs department and the city holds MANY city wide events like BeachStreets, music festivals, parades for most major holidays, and our high schools are all very tied to the community with sports and events! "
  • Shwz62v6yc
"It’s very dog friendly! Backyards, lots of sidewalks….Access to open spaces but, unfortunately, no dog park near by. "
  • Trulia User

"i I don't plan on moving. Knock on wood. its a safe area. only thing we have a lot of wires over head. and sometimes the airport gets loud"
  • Ray C.
"Been in South of Conant neighborhood for 16 1/2 years. The homes here are constantly being remodeled and upgraded. But the best part is how friendly most neighbors are, and being a dog owner here for 15 years has been amazing as the owners of dogs are very responsible. Mistakes happen, but each owner I know is very diligent to accommodate others. 3 very nice parks and a golf course are all within walking distance."
  • Moni_viramontes
"I love the neighborhood, very friendly and vigilant efforts in a beautiful community of diverse people. "
  • Ray C.
"3 parks nearby, 5mins to long beach airport, no 2 homes look the same, close to Vet Stadium events: Antique flea market, motorcycle Sunday once per month...and other special events. "
  • Powers
"Beautiful mature area, with lots of parks. Clean easy access to freeways and restaurants. Lots of new families moving in. "
  • Stephanie S.
"I love this neighborhood. Never had any major problems one break in and the robbers were caught in less than 15min. Great family area, I personally grew up playing sports at Wardlow park which is with in walking distance. Carver is the local elementary school and is amazing with lots of involvement from parents and previous students. All in All couldn't of asked for a better place to of grown up in."
  • John J.
"Quiet neighborhood, peaceful. Good neighbors, even though you won't notice they are around. Great home for a family and someone with a lot of toys!"
  • Michael p.
"Safe, Clean and Friendly East Side Long Beach One of the biggest small towns around. "
