  • Nancy
"This is a decent neighborhood. The roads are being redone as of this summer 2019 so that is something to look forward for."
  • Hilda Ann
"I lived in my Home for 10 years in this area for twenty five around this area till I sold my home best years I loved the privacy and looking across to no homes just trees canyon every morning woke up to the sound of Birds chirping at night cayotes howling ,But never came close to homes , Quiet good nieghbors everyone mostly kept to themselves..just when you come down to Imperial Ave difference have to keep your Guard Up. But overall We were Happy Here......"
  • Andrea
"I’ve lived here for two years. It is quiet and feels rural while being in the heart of the city. Everyone keeps to themselves but are friendly if met during many of the daily dog walks everyone takes. "
  • Brigetteheye
"Neighborhood revitalization happening now. Great neighborhood minutes from Balboa, downtown, military bases, and hiking."
  • Josemh
"Chollas lake has great new children’s park activities, fishing, trails for family, holiday activities and much more. "
  • Bmccall t.
"Stray dogs are everywhere, dogs even sometimes jump over their own fences so you have to always be on your toes. No sidewalk and people drive crazy down the street "
  • Hermesmuse
"not the greatest neighborhood, kinda sketchy. many poorly kept up homes, not walking friendly. Just East of here feels safe, I wouldn't not go walking in the neighborhood, not even in the daytime"
  • Al o.
"It’s an up and coming neighborhood. The near by schools performance continues to improve. The development on imperial will also add value. "
  • Al o.
"This is a transitioning neighborhood. I’ve been here since 2009 and when I move I plan on keeping the house. "
  • Kjbderose
"Lived here 9 years now the best of country in the city. Good for kids, dogs or chickens. Close to little league and still quite. "
  • Brittanigude
"Quiet and laid back. People mind their own business and as long as you do too you’ll be fine "
  • Maribel A.
"Encanto is full of diversity. The best place to go grocery shopping, is at Albertsons, Food for Less, or Henrys Market in Lemon Grove. Then you also have a great variety of restaurants from major chains to family owned. Can't go wrong finding what you need at nearby Walmart, Target, Sams Club, Big Lots and Kohls. Along with other smaller stores you find at strip malls. There are several parks nearby that are nice and one even has a lake you can run around on a dirt track. Plenty of San Diego School District schools to choose from. Only thing about transportation is that you have to walk a bit before you get to a bus stop or to the trolley station on Massachusetts. Very convenient to freeways. Quiet neighborhood surrounded by nature. It will give off a wildlife feel all around you. Crime rate very low. Great neighbors all around. Family/Pet friendly."
