this is the worst school ever teacher and staff think they are the boss of children here no one knows there rights in this school this is just like a dictatorship if u love ur kid u wouldnt take them here students are great there they dont respect u guys cuz they dont get any kind of respect learn how to do your jobs

I think the teachers are caring and have a lot of years of teaching experience under their belts. But, I’m not a big fan of the dual immersion program. While it’s great that students can learn two languages simultaneously, I don’t think it’s beneficial for all. In some ways, I feel like it hinders them from mastering English language arts because they’re spending the other half of the time trying to master the target language.

To new parents considering enrolling your child at Toll:Please be aware that students do not have lockers. Children are required to carry their backpacks with them all day, going up and down stairs and in and out of classrooms. You will experience their schedule during Open House. It's a lot of walking and a lot of stairs.During orientation, the principal reassures parents by saying, “Don’t worry, students don’t carry their books around. Everything is left in the classrooms.” Unfortunately, this is not true.My child carries:Two thick textbooks (only the books they don’t write in are left in class)A ChromebookA binderA couple of notebooksA school daily plannerA thick reading novel used daily in classThe backpack weighs approximately 20 pounds. For a child who weighs only 80 pounds, that’s one-quarter of their body weight, carried every single school day. This is physically taxing and, in my opinion, inhumane. I’m surprised this issue isn’t mentioned more often in reviews, as it directly affects students’ health and well-being.I have no issue with my child’s education itself, except for PE. Even when it’s around 50 degrees outside, students are required to run in basketball-style shorts and a yellow or green T-shirt. There is no cold-weather option such as sweatpants or long sleeves. If a student’s outerwear has pockets, they are not allowed to wear it during PE. I’m not sure whether this restriction applies to other classes as well.As for vaping, my child has mentioned that some students do vape. How prevalent this is, I don’t know—but it is something parents should be aware of.The school is also located right next to an elementary school and directly in front of a high school. There are no dedicated drop-off or pick-up lanes, which makes traffic very chaotic during peak hours. Traffic can be extremely heavy. If you experience anxiety while driving, I strongly recommend arriving early—even 30 minutes earlier makes a significant difference.That said, aside from the heavy backpacks and getting hypothermia, my child is doing well academically. There is no cellphone use during classroom hours, math performance has improved, and the teachers are very open to communication. Parents receive regular updates through the ParentSquare app, which has been helpful.I hope the locker issue could be fixed and they could add warmer PE uniforms for colder days. P.S. I’ve heard Woodrow Wilson has the same issue regarding no lockers.
