I cannot think of a better elementary school than Sutro. It is inclusive, warm, welcoming, student-centered, and full of kind, thoughtful children and families. Sutro is our Area Attendance public school and although we are lucky enough to be able to afford private school, we would NEVER send our children to any of the overpriced private schools in this city -- SFUSD has the most wonderful elementary schools, especially our incredible schools on the Westside, like Sutro. Our two children have thrived at Sutro Elementary and regularly test grades ahead on math and reading. They feel connected and supported by their teachers and peers and spring out of bed every morning eager to attend school. We love the community of diverse, interesting families and are excited that our third child will get the chance to attend Sutro next year. HIGHLY recommend this school.
