1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy Granddaughter was in a very bad way as far as her home life when she went into 6th grade at Amphi Middle School. She joined AVID and enrolled in computer classes. too. She has found herself and she has thrived, now in the 7th grade she has made honor roll every report card. The support she has had from the teachers if phenomenal.Other Review7y ago - Amphitheater High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDon’t have your kids be enrolled as students the staff have no idea how to run a school. They push problems aside especially big ones and focus on irreverent unnecessary “problems”. They have favorites and push others aside. They dont know how to keep students safe. They are terrible at communicating and they lie, even to the parents of enrolled students. This school is awful!! I recommend any other school but here! This school deserves zero stars!Student Review2y ago - Rio Vista Elementary School

"Warmest neighborhood in Tucson. Retirees, young families, I’ve never know anyone who lived here and didn’t love the neighborhood. People walk dogs on the sidewalks in the evening. Kids ride bikes. There is a fall party in the cul de sac. I’ve lived here 14 years and I absolutely love it!"

"It’s about 30 minutes to the university of Arizona. My house is close to shopping and restaurants at La encantada. I am also 5 minutes to a grocery store and Walgreens and several other convenient shops."

"Large backyards for dogs to run around, you always see dogs being walked around. You would probably do better with a larger dog or an inside dog if you have a small dog because small dogs can be grabbed by coyotes if they are outside alone."
- Craig G.

"Neighborhood community dinners, small number of homes,we all know each other and are friendly. Custom homes. "
- Bill S.

"Being in the neighborhood feels like you are in the middle of the gorgeous Sonoran desert, but you are just minutes from any amenity or shopping you need. "

"I really enjoy living here. It is the closet thing to rural living without any of the inconveniences. Homes are on very large lots -- several acres, and all are low built to blend in with the desert which is mature, with all types of birds, coyotes, javelinas, bobcats, lots of various lizards including Gila Monsters. Never saw a rattle snake but we do have king and gopher snakes. We have added over 250 golden barrels and numerous agaves, trees and shrubs. Beautiful view of Catalinas to the north and A mountain to the south. Neighborhood has no street lights or sidewalks. House is on a cul de sac with a lower drive so not as obvious from road. Quiet and dark, excellent star viewing and 15 different hiking walks thru the washes. Best of all, easy, really easy access to numerous good medical facilities, the U of A and downtown. A real gem in the desert. "
- Doug B.

"Area of mixed age custom homes on large lots in the foothills above Tucson. lots of desert plant and animal life, excellent schools, convenient shopping and easy access to central Tucson. Mountain and city views "
