"There is easy access to your bus routes and it is minutes to downtown. Shopping is walking distance. Excellent restaurants and live music on most weekends. Neighbors are well educated, friendly, and ages range from 1 to the 90s. There are a lot of walkers in the morning and evening and parks, golf, tennis, and a community are blocks away. "

"Everyone waves but it would be nice if there was an off leash dog park that dogs could really run at. Something like the Cherry Creek state park off leash park in Denver. "

"Everyone waves. Love it here. Great schools. So much greener than you would expect for the desert. Views of the Catalinas make everyday special. So glad we were able to find our wonderful home in Shadow Hills. "

"It's about 30-45 minutes into town. There have been reports of mountain lions, javelinas and other dangerous animals around, so I wouldnt walk around at night. It's a pretty quiet area."

"There aren’t usually sidewalks to walk on or street lights in neighborhoods which could make it difficult for kids to get to know each other and play outside "

"Warmest neighborhood in Tucson. Retirees, young families, I’ve never know anyone who lived here and didn’t love the neighborhood. People walk dogs on the sidewalks in the evening. Kids ride bikes. There is a fall party in the cul de sac. I’ve lived here 14 years and I absolutely love it!"

"I really enjoy living here. It is the closet thing to rural living without any of the inconveniences. Homes are on very large lots -- several acres, and all are low built to blend in with the desert which is mature, with all types of birds, coyotes, javelinas, bobcats, lots of various lizards including Gila Monsters. Never saw a rattle snake but we do have king and gopher snakes. We have added over 250 golden barrels and numerous agaves, trees and shrubs. Beautiful view of Catalinas to the north and A mountain to the south. Neighborhood has no street lights or sidewalks. House is on a cul de sac with a lower drive so not as obvious from road. Quiet and dark, excellent star viewing and 15 different hiking walks thru the washes. Best of all, easy, really easy access to numerous good medical facilities, the U of A and downtown. A real gem in the desert. "

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's hard to write a less than positive review, because there are good aspects about the school and we try to be positive in our outlook. There is an underlying current in the school that is unsettling; almost a Stepford Wives Club, or a beautiful person's club. If your family is not part of the in-crowd, your child may be always second, no matter their ability. The teachers seem to be elitist at times without the substantiating evidence and there can be a smile and fib-to-your-face aspect. There is a lack of technology/STEM presented to the kids although there still is music, art, and PE. This is submitted anonymously because if we continue on with PRCA for 6-12th, we don’t want this held over our head; what does that say about the environment?Parent Review10y ago21 Reviews - The Beginning School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTucson Waldorf has had an incredible and positive impact on the lives of our two children. I feel that the school is helping my son and daughter grow up as free-thinking, socially conscious, creative people. I am so grateful that we discovered this school and were introduced to the pedagogical methodology of the Waldorf education.Parent Review6y ago13 Reviews
