7/104GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a grandparent of 2 students at JH. I go there daily with the youngsters & their mum. I also see the progress & results for both children.I consider the principal & his staff are very dedicated to the students & this reflect in very sound results for our 2 attendees & others I'm aware of.The school is very inclusive & caters actively to the needs of a broad & varied group of students as I see it.The atmosphere at the school is friendly & very supportive of students & parents alike.Other Review4mo ago13 Reviews - Mcclure Middle School

8/103GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent of a new 6th grader my experience so far has been great. From day one, the teachers have shown incredible care and dedication to making sure my child feels supported, both academically and emotionally. They genuinely go above and beyond to help students transition smoothly into middle school life. The sense of community here is wonderful—parents, teachers, and staff all work together to create a welcoming and inclusive environment. As with any middle school there are concerns with interactions between children but we so far have not had any negative experiences. My child has made great friends and is excited to go to school each day. We are so grateful to be part of such a kind and caring school community!Parent Review10mo ago42 Reviews - The Center School

8/103GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a Seattle hidden gem! Most don't know that it is a public school. The size of the school is so small in comparison to standard Seattle public high schools. For all grades combined, the student population is anywhere from 165-226 - depending on the school year. My child entered the school as a sophomore - having attended a much bigger high school in the area where they were not known by teachers, lost in the hectic energy of the environment and overall anonymous. The location is on the third floor of the Armory which is located in The Seattle Center. There are so many advantages of this location - the extra layer of safety from the Armory security guards, the variety of food options, and the access to on-site theater and art events for student field trips. The transportation can be a challenge but many have learned to use the Metro bus - often meeting up at bus stops and traveling together to- and from school. Others are dropped off/picked up by caregivers or do a mix of public transportation and car rides. The teachers are warm and welcoming and I would say are excellent at reaching kids who may be neurodivergent, formerly bullied or simply introverted. The principal and staff are responsive, approachable and accessible. A few things to note - there is no P.E. (credit can be earned for extracurricular sports or simply logging the student's daily walks to the bus); there is no orchestra/band; and there is no after school sports. Send your artsy, fun-loving, introverted/extroverted theatre/art kids to this school - they will thrive here.Parent Review1y ago6 Reviews - Queen Anne Elementary School

9/103GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool is not equipped to have Autistic kids. Lacks the resources and or trained staff to support neurodivergent students in a safe and supportive manner. Would never bring my kids here, again. It intitially was our choice. I can say one of the top 3 worst experiences I’ve had to this date. Little Kids do not deserve to be treated like second class citizens. Can and will always give kudos to Salmon Bay K-8. Would recommend parents to take their kids there they have an excellent IEP program and resources and help for specail ed kids where it doesn’t traumatize them to go to school or not will they hinder their academic growth. Although it’s a wait to get into Salmon it will save you that struggles we went though here. I’m not even upset im disappointed how someone at this age in 2025 can still mistreat kids.Parent Review2mo ago15 Reviews - Lincoln High School

10/103GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVery impressed with the teachers and staff. This school seems to have a very welcoming culture and a lot of options for AP courses and high level-math courses. It is a project based school, and students are encouraged to demonstrate their learning through a proejct, which preapres them for the future outside of just exams and essays. While the teachers are supportive, I find the grading and standards to be fairly stringent. That being said, they seem to genuinly want to help kids improve and often allow opportunities to revise assignemts after they recieve feedback, so good grades are a realistic possibility for any student who is willing to work hard and be open to feedback.Parent Review4mo ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near 503 1st Ave W #208.

"I’ve lived here in LQA/Uptown since late September 2020; and love it here… there’s good food and bars, lots of things going on, Seattle Center is pretty lively, etc."

"Decent selection of restaurants and entertainment. Centrally located to other Seattle neighborhoods, although being so close to the arena and relying on Mercer St to get to I5 means most weekends you just end up staying home rather than deal with traffic. "

"I live in uptown actually, but I'm close interbay. It's not as pretty as other neighborhoods, but is segregated enough from downtown that you feel safe walking around. It feels like the closest suburban area to Seattle without be suburban."

"I’d raise kids in upper Queen Anne, lower QA is a bit sketchy and I wouldn’t want my kids seeing some of the things that go on there. At least not until they were preteen age "
