Bernal Heights is also built on solid shelf rock, so it's a safe place to be in an earthquake. Commuting up to this neighborhood, you'd better be ready for lots of turns and twists and hills. The higher you go, the more lost you can become if you're not from around here, but it's actually fun getting lost in this neighborhood."
