Although there are a few good educators who truly care and want to help students develop the skills and strengths needed to thrive in a school environment, the vast majority are still the uninformed, power intoxicated babysitters that want children to shut up, sit down, and stop thinking so much. Your student will be challenged but they will be ready to go to college and supported by their teachers all of the way. The academics are amazing and the teachers really care about their students. The school is very safe and protected by multiple officers. Counseling staff is phenomenal and the college counselor is AMAZING and will help you to achieve your dreams and get to where you want to go. I fault the principal that would not listen to me as a parent and switch my child out of this teacher's class. He chose his pride instead of listening to a parents concern. This set my child up for failure. I will never forget what my son told me at the end of the year when we were driving home that his teacher said. She said under her breath, "I'm glad I'll never have to see this desk again." About my child that has a disability- shame on her. "Totally a car city. Briargate is a planned residential community near to the Air Force Academy. 20 minutes to downtown, but Colorado Springs is a very long city along the mountains. I would not live here if you work at Peterson or Ft Carson. "
