8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs an 7th grade student who currently goes there, I think this is one of the worst schools ever, but it is somewhat okay. Some teachers are nice and actually care about my education, which I am thankful for. Although there are many teachers and staff members who I find so moody, and many teachers who don’t teach well AT ALL. And the dress code is beyond crazy. Sometimes you can get dress coded so easily, even if you are following the dress code. There also is a major bullying problem which I absolutely hate, I get bullied almost every day, and when I tell a teacher they do nothing about it. The IB Diploma Program is particularly strong, with high-achieving students who take very challenging course loads. Expectations are high and kids are well prepared for college, many of whom go onto top-tier universities. Facilities are well maintained and administrators are approachable and want the best for the RHS community. 10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child went to 1st grade in Lisa Schubauer’s class. The class had 21 kids, and the teacher was overwhelmed. Whenever I raised a concern, she often complained about having a crowded classroom. My observation and feedback I got from other parents indicated that she tends to favor certain kids and neglect others. My main issue was the language to which kids are exposed. I don’t think it is appropriate for 1st graders to learn about having crushes and cursing at such an early age. "I live in Grove Pointe, at the intersection of Proctor & Cattlemen Rds. I like living off of Proctor Rd because it's close to I-75 but doesn't have the noise and congestion of a major roadway. I can leave my house and be on the interstate in 5 minutes. Despite the fact that Proctor is a residential road, my home is within 5 minutes of multiple stores, restaurants and gas stations. The neighborhood is great for families; not only is it in the best school districts, but it has sidewalks and street lights for safety, and is less than 2 miles from Urfer Family Park, at Honore and Bee Ridge. If you're worried that being so close to the interstate means a lot of traffic noise, don't. The houses across the street from mine back up to I-75, but it's not at all noisy. The sound coming from the roadway would best be described as "white noise"; you don't even notice it. "

"Grove Pointe is a highly desirable neighborhood in Sarasota, Houses are spacious, most with pools, and nice, walkable streets. Popular with famiies it is in a very good school district and offers quick access to the highway and a straight shot to the south bridge of Siesta Key. This particular home (4852 Wood Pointe) has an amenable split plan layout, cathedral ceilings, pool and amazing plantings! Night blooming cereus, soaring bougainvillea, Norfolk Pine, pink grapefruit ... a delightful Eden!"
