N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal came from the high school, and doesn't seem to embrace early childhood education. Poor art and music programs. No concerts for the kids until they're in older grades, no treats for Halloween or birthdays allowed to be brought in, no Halloween costumes after 2nd grade. Bottom line, no fun. Academically fine, but the extras are missing. The stuff that makes school memorable. The prior principal is sorely missed!Parent Review11y ago - Anchor Bay Middle School South

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAnchor Bay High School is a terrible high school for a number of reasons. First, the school is overcrowded and understaffed. This results in large class sizes and a lack of individual attention for students. Second, the school has a poor academic reputation. Test scores are low, and students often feel unprepared for college. Third, the school has a history of bullying and discrimination. There have been numerous reports of students being harassed and intimidated, and the school has not done enough to address these issues.Parent Review4mo ago - Dean A. Naldrett School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall I am happy with Naldrett Elementary School. I’ve only had an issue with one teacher (who, in my opinion, needs to retire from teaching). Other than that, we’ve had a great experience thus far. I feel my concerns have been addressed and that our family is a valued part of the school community.Parent Review11mo ago - Check out schools near 48041 Sugarbush Rd.

"I’ve lived here for 20 years and grew up here. People are friendly and it’s a Safe place to live, there are not any serious crimes even though it’s a good Size city now. The city has grown to have a good amount of shopping and many popular restaurants right down the street. It is closer to a nice outdoor mall when you need to go to other stores. Schools have been good while my children were there, they all attended Anchor Bay. There are also several close by colleges within commuting distance so you don’t have to pay for dorms. "

"It’s a subdivision but the county plows our streets and we have no HOA fees. We don’t have any street lights but 50% of the home owners keep there outside lights on."

"lots of families here so any kid growing up here would have no problem finding other children to be friends with. safe quiet community with quick access to the water and charming towns even if chesterfield itself is fairly bland boilerplate suburbia."

"My commute to work is very long. I work in Troy and I spend at least 2 hours in the car. The winter is the worst though. When it snows it's at least an hour and a half to two hour drive one way. I take 59 and the construction is terrible. Everywhere you go traffic is backed up because they are working in the roads. I would actually love to find a job closer to my home because we do like the area. "
