I can walk to both the Park Road shopping center and the Scaleybark Light Rail Station in about 20 minutes or drive there in no time at all. It is within a 25 minute drive of Uptown, Southpark, and Ballantyne areas, so pretty much anything you can do in Charlotte is reasonably close."
