Both of our daughters attended Scofield. Our older daughter was an advanced learner, and the staff came together to work with her on an individual basis. Because of their intervention and assistance, she completed middle school in just two years, while still fulfilling the requirements for Algebra I and Geometry, as well as qualifying for Spanish 3.

Guidance counselor never helped I didn’t graduate with my class because they messed up my credits I had to attend summer school and they pulled me out because they noticed the mess up they robbed me of my graduation experience. Fights constantly in the school. The teachers did not respect students. Inappropriate teacher/student relations and staff knowing about it. I was told I potentially might not be anything in life because of grades but no one pulled my aside to want to help and change it. My experience in that school was horrible

Horrible and frustrating this school depressed me

We have been a Westover family since 2018 and now have two children there: one in 1st grade and one in 4th. The administrators and teachers are incredibly dedicated and our children are thriving in their classes. They care deeply about the students and really work to build direct connections with all Westover families. The school itself has a specialty focus on the arts - think music, drama, dance, problem solving, media/tech, and art - making it a standout when so many other schools have moved to reduce or cut those programs from their curriculums. Additionally, even though it's one of the largest elementary schools in Stamford, there's a real sense of community here. Post-COVID, the school has offered so many opportunities for families to get involved - it's really refreshing, and I hope it only continues. Note that Westover is a magnet school and therefore, most parents have to apply for their child(ren) to attend through the city's annual school lottery process. It's highly competitive and a coveted school to attend, so spots go quickly.

I remember i got bullied so much there and got into fights and the principal and the assistant principals did not do anything about it i reported this so much and they did nothing and they give no good lunch either
