What Locals Say about Gulfport

  • Inrchld
"We've lived in Gulfport for 10 years and can't imagine living anywhere else. A true neighborhood of residents continually committed to maintaining that vibe. Also, eclectic, artsy, unique from the homes and their gardens, mailboxes, driveways, etc.., ever interesting. The mix of all ethnicities that's proudly displayed and protected makes it especially unique. There is always so much to do, whichever way you turn. You're never bored or lonely living here."

"I will not comment on this neighborhood except to say some are trying to flip it but I would check crime statistics before moving into this area. "

"We’ve had the pleasure of residing in Gulfport for eight years. We resided in our first Florida home for just as many. The day we came to look at our present home was also a Tuesday Market day so we attended to enjoy but also to talk with the locals and learn what we could. The town motto displayed on shirts and other items that “If You’re to Weird for Gulfport You’re to Weird”! made us wonder about the meaning. Everyone was so nice that on the ride back I commented to my husband I thought that must be it. Gulfport is a true neighborhood right down to repeating vacationers. In this highly transient State you don’t find many generational citizens. Here you’ll find many generational Gulfportians! Our town lives a life of acceptance of an even greater melting pot than that which formed the country and are very protective of it! On hot days you can walk or bike ride in the cooler evenings with your pets. Pets are highly valued citizens as well. Our rich Artist’s community keeps yards, homes freshly unique. It’s just “Weird” "
