"Very pet friendly. Owners pick up after their pets. Dogs are on leashes. Owners make sure that their dogs do not continuously bark. "
  • Ddaye94187
"It’s a great place to raise children. The schools are really good. There is a new early childhood program. "
  • Naur07%40aol.com
"Area is very quiet. We have new owners and there are more children playing. Just people drive too fast. "
  • Kutyptuty23
"It’s a great place to raise a family and Owner home. My husband’s family has lived here for over 35 years."
  • Davey
"Howell is very quiet at nights, all you hear are crickets all night, however my area is very busy during the day lots of traffic, close to lots of shopping, main highways and route 9."
  • Trulia User
"It’s quaint and everyone is friendly. It’s also very close to public transit for NYC, and Rt 9 for local commuting. "
  • Jean1275
"My neighborhood is close to public transportation and close to many shopping centers. Also near highways for easy access for commuting to work. "
  • Llowens12
"Family friendly area to raise children. Very good schools and community for families. I have lived here 30 years"
  • Dominic R. A.
"It is very quite neighborhood and I feel safe at my age of 21, but also safe for my nieces and nephews aging from 1-12 and my 96 year old grandma to wander on their own "
  • Stephanie R.
"I live in the Verdana luxury apartment complex so I can't speak for the whole town obviously. The apartment itself is very size. However the complex management leaves something to be desired. Dog poop is easy to step on and their priorities in amenities is bizarre. They don't tape off a playground or bbq area but shutdown a tennis court? And neverrrr have the gate down, even though we pay for it."
  • Alexis J.
"Week days through out the year are an easily commute, but during the summer is more congested. Area has easily access to major highways "
  • Samanthascipione
"I’ve lived here forever. My whole neighborhood was built brand new we moved in when I was two and everyone who moved in also had young children and we got to grow up together. It has given me my best friend who will be my maid of honor, godmother to my first child. A safe and fun childhood. The leave your house when it’s light out and be home by dinner, use your creativity kind of childhood. Trick or treating in a huge group with the whole neighborhood. A big backyard for all of our family birthday parties. All of my schools, where I had halloween parades, Christmas concerts, learned how to drive in the parking lot, extreme school pride football games. Summers in the pool and at the beach, trips to the city with multiple options for easy travel. In short, Howell has given me and my family the most beautiful memories my whole life. I couldn’t imagine growing up anywhere else. I would stay here forever if I could. "
  • Mroponce50
"We have no events. Nobody likes anyone. It’s too racist around here. The streets reek of mariguana. There’s trash everywhere. "
  • Jdmccomas
"Family oriented especially during the summer months at our community pool, basketball courts & tennis courts. "
  • Naur07%40aol.com
"There are streets that do not have sidewalks. Recently more traffic. Schools are very good. Very friendly community"
  • Wookierage
"Santa all week on a fire truck blowing its horn and not my neighborhood but surrounding neighborhoods are very very good to trick or treat! 😃"
  • Naur07%40aol.com
"A lot of people walk the dogs to the empty lot. There are a lot of deer in that area and you need to check animal for ticks."
  • Naur07%40aol.com
"There are many places to walk your animal. By the radio station. There are also many deer in the neighborhood. "
  • Anotherpetlover1971

"I work about 20 minutes from my home. My commute is fairly light and hassle free thanks to backroads. In the summer it is extremely helpful because RT 9 can be very heavy with beach traffic. "
  • Rodriguez
"When you need a favor there are there to help. Very open and kind we watch out for each other houses if necessary."
  • Jenny Nicole
"Schools are amazing and the neighborhoods are full of life long friends. Great place to raise your family."

"We live right of route 9 so very easy commute. there is a bus stop right on the corner but my husband chooses to drive to the cheesequake reststop. "
  • Jkorman6
"easy to get around here. traffic is not an issue for us. route 9 is a breeze to navigate as well. there is no train station near us, but we do have bus service and a station by us for access to nyc. I don't know what else to say about the delay in traffic accidents as there are many different accidents on route 9."
  • Vpusaver
"I work from home so I'm not sure what rush hour is like. Rt9 gets conjested with all the lights. Other than that, it seems to have everything one would want nearby."
  • Fred L.
"love my town. simple, easy, quiet. great community. cops are strick but proffesional. it has the small town attitude but almost city like feel."
