As a parent, I hold high expectations for both the academic rigor and the overall environment of my child’s school, and John F. Kennedy High School has consistently met those expectations. The administration and staff maintain a well-managed campus where students are held accountable while also being supported. Communication with families is consistent and transparent, which reinforces trust.In addition, the range of extracurricular opportunities—including athletics, clubs, and college-preparatory pathways—allows students to develop beyond the classroom. This holistic approach ensures that students graduate not only academically prepared but also socially and emotionally equipped for post-secondary success.

After starting Sabin as a kindergartner during Covid, my son is getting ready to finish out his 5th grade year at Sabin. It will be bitter sweet for him as he has shared with me that all of the teachers he’s had at Sabin are his favorite. My daughter is wrapping up her first grade year at Sabin and I know she will have an equally successful experience there because of the teachers and staff at Sabin. Everyone who works at Sabin puts kids first. It is truly a caring and nurturing environment where they focus on the whole child.We love Sabin!!!

Students on IEP’s are not receiving their proper accommodations because there is no SPED team. I have been working in the Colorado school system for 21 years and have never ever encountered this before.

I had my reservations about sending my daughter to this school because of the 2 out of 10 it received on this website. Once I realized that the academic rating is for K-12 and that the elementary level has much better scoring than that, I felt more comfortable. A few things that I love about this school. First, my daughter is able to do dance, drama, art, and music at school. It is less time away from home in the evenings because I don't have to put her in outside classes. Secondly, the teachers at this school (speaking at the elementary level) are outstanding. I've been so impressed with their level of commitment to helping all of the children excel. My child was already reading when she started kindergarten, but they have been wonderful about differentiating for her and others, and they have a great gifted and talented teacher who works with the kids as well.Last of all, the elementary level principal is awesome! She collaborates with teachers and parents and is constantly working to improve the school (on all levels. i.e. teaching, data, culture). This school has a great community feel and gives great academic opportunities as well as art-filled experiences.

My daughter attended last year and so glad we left for another school. There are parents we talked to that still has their child going to this school and nothing has changed. New principal same result so far. Bullying is still rampant. Student body disrespectful to teachers. Per source numerous fights weekly with latest bigger kid beating up a little kid. Teacher tied to stop it, then big kid punches the teacher. Wow just wow. You can't fix bad students with parents who don't care. Sadly this school needs to consider shutting down again.
