Description

Welcome to our sunny, spacious three-story garden home! We're renting this for the summer months and are excited you're interested. A little about our home: it's an end row house perfectly situated next to a metro station, DC street car, nature and running trails, and DC's RFK Fields complex. It is a 4 bedroom, 3 full bath home with dining, living, and play rooms (This includes the in-law apartment on 1st floor with fully outfitted second kitchen, bath and washer/dryer). It's a perfect place for family or a group of working professionals.

This fully furnished three story home is perfect for a family with children (and pets!) and for an extended stay. The top floor has 3 bedrooms, one of which is currently also an office. There are closets in all the rooms (not always the case in DC rowhouses) and the rooms are also large for rowhouses in the area. There is a full bath on this floor.

The middle floor has a living room with a working fireplace, a dining room, a kitchen, another full bath and a sunny office nook. As this is an end rowhouse with most windows facing south, the rooms are always filled with light and very cheerful.
The ground floor is actually all above ground and is an in law studio apartment with a kitchen, a third full bath, bedroom and small living room area. There is a washer and dryer on this floor, which is used for the whole house.

There is a convenient parking pad on the side of the house that is included in the Airbnb. In addition, street parking is easy and there is minimal parking patrol. If needed, we can arrange for additional street parking passes if you are concerned or have two cars.

For social entertainers, there is an enclosed back porch with a grill, patio furniture, and French cafe lights. For nature lovers, there's a side yard with flowers and flowering trees and the house is only a 5 min walk to Kingman Island's nature hiking and a really great playground for younger kids.

The upstairs two floors have plenty of light, lots of space for a DC row house, and we have cleaned out most of the closets and dressers for guests' use. There are just a few of our things left in some select closets.

We also have some play spaces for kids with toys that they can use and as mentioned a little bit of outdoor space for small children to play. We've got 4 and 6 year old boys, so plenty of Legos and other toys at your disposal.

Because we only rent the whole house in the summers, the house is well, our house. That is, we still have some of our things (toys, etc.) in boxes or in a closet here and there. Don't worry it's been professionally cleaned and we'll pay for intermittent cleaning. That said, we're looking for understanding guests.

For entertainers, there is a beautiful back porch with a grill, patio furniture, and French cafe lights. For nature lovers, there's a beautiful side yard with flowers and flowering trees and 5 min walk to Kingman Island's nature hiking.

Our place is a 7 min walk to Stadium Armory Metro, a 2 min walk to to H st. Street Car (free, quick trip to bars and restaurants on H street corridor), 2 stops from eastern market, and right next to I-295, a huge park for dogs, & the Anacostia River Trail. There are a lot of good walking/running trails as well as places to take your dog off lease.

This is a summer rental only, from mid June to the end of August. Owner will pay all utilities (electricity, gas, water, internet, garbage). First and last month's rent and security deposit is due at signing. A maximum of 3 total pets are permitted.
District law requires that a housing provider state that the housing provider will not refuse to rent a rental unit to a person because the person will provide the rental payment, in whole or in part, through a voucher for rental housing assistance provided by the District or federal government.

"I grew up near this area and came back a few years ago. The development and diversity have improved a great deal and great things are coming. There is still some work that needs to be done to minimize the loitering and such but when you grow up in DC it’s less of an issue."

Not too far from Union Station where you can commute to other areas using the yellow and green lines. Also use the trolley which is free fare. So you can explore the restaurants on H Street and the Pubs."
