"Woodbridge day, library events, summer concerts on the green, Jcc, trunk or treat, dog park…………………. "
  • Christophermperry3
"Old people walk. Woodbridge, Connecticut, has experienced a growth in its tax rate, which has become one of the highest in the state. This increase places a significant burden on homeowners, as the town has seen limited growth in its Grand List, which is a record of all taxable property. This situation means that fewer business activities and new developments occur to offset the tax increases, leading to a heavier tax load on the current residents and potentially stalling economic growth and new investment in the town."
  • Larst04
"Work from home commute can be an issue in the flats area. 95 and Merritt close by. Leave early to avoid issues"
  • Christophermperry3
"After moving to Woodbridge to raise a family in the cherished school system, I have buyer's remorse due to the town's struggle to keep its ballooning costs down. The coveted elementary school lacks repairs and has multiple significant capital costs the town has differed for many years. The demographic is lopsided, and it's difficult for young children to have similar age groups nearby. Most interaction must be through organized sports and play dates. This one restaurant town is barely worth visiting as its most famous attraction is golf courses. There is a lack of sidewalks, Street lights, and services such as trash pickup. People in the neighborhood wave, but there is a lack of formal outreach. The only enjoyable trait is the town is quiet."
  • Burneasetravel
"Commute isn’t bad at certain times of the day. We are very close to the Train stations in the area. "
  • Stas S.
"As a dog owner I love that I can walk around the neighborhood without worrying about cars and how quiet it is."
  • Larst04
"Various gatherings in town, Boy Scout Group events, fund raisers and Truck or Treat at the firehouse are a few examples "
  • Dirk Diggler
"Woodbridge is fine if you're upper middle class, value the school system above all other tax expenditures, are willing to deal with a slowly changing culture, and a lack of community not based within the educational system. It's beautiful, wooded, and really close to New Haven. "
  • Ajsantelises
"We all care for the well-being and security of our community. It’s a pet friendly neighborhood. Public services excellent. "
  • Larst04
"I work from home no commute shopping not too far. Basically stay local or go into orange on Boston post road "
  • Annamariebloch
"No public transportation locally except for Uber. Train service is available to nyc and Boston. 4 international airports within an hour."
  • Annamariebloch
"Very quiet. Feels like we are in the country surrounded by forests, yet we are minutes from shopping, restaurants and Yale! It is the best of both worlds!"
  • Annamariebloch
"Amazing school system. Very low crime. Close to New York City yet our neighborhood is surrounded by forests."
  • Linda r.
"Quiet, beautiful neighborhood with good schools. Must have a car. One and a half acre zoning keeps houses spread far apart and you have to make an effort to meet your neighbors."
  • Russamar99
"I have lived here for 23 years and I love it neighbors very friendly and helpful safe and peaceful. "
  • healingguides
"Woodbridge is centrally located. It is the best of both worlds. Living in the country but easy access to anything you can think of while living in a very peaceful environment. The schools are top rated. The best educational system in Connecticut. Woodbridge is very well kept. The roads are always plowed quickly when it snows. I've never before seen such excellent attention paid to the upkeep of the roads during storms before with any other city or town. The police and fire department are also very efficient. You can count on them to answer an emergency call quickly. Woodbridge has many nice walking trails. Antonio's on Amity Rd. is a great restaurant. Athens diner on Whalley Ave. is a good place for breakfast. Orange and Milford has many great stores close by and in the opposite direction you have Hamden and North Haven. Not to mention that we are located in New Haven County. A beautiful place to live with many great assets and accessibilities. Three major hospitals are located nearby. Easy access to the Merritt Parkway. A safe and healthy environment to raise a family. It's all pro's I can't find any con's with living in Woodbridge unless you don't like peace and quiet. It's a normal sight to see deer or turkeys walking through your yard. When you leave your work day behind you want to come home to a peaceful carefree environment and this is the place to be. And if you work in New Haven it is a stones throw away not an hour or more drive on a major highway because you are stuck in 5 O'clock traffic. Some things to consider when doing your house hunting. Good Luck in your search. "
