Choice enroll your kid out to basically anywhere else like everyone else does to a better school! Kids are vaping and doing drugs everywhere and they have no doors on bathrooms at this point because its so bad. How is that a place you want your kid to go? They had to even close bathrooms because there is not enough staff to just keep the stoners from setting off alarms. The violence at the school with the sheer number of fights is crazy. We were picking up our kid and there was a fight out front and multiple police there. Teachers worry they will get punched, too, and one staff member told us she was punched in the face trying to break up the fights. Kids are scared too and it seems like the police are there every day. They had a gun brought to school this year and sent out emails about it and our kid sees police there arresting kids all the time he says. The staff turnover is high and teachers leave mid year even as our kid lost one of his favorite teachers. When she told him why she was leaving it was because she doesnt get paid enough to deal with the problems. Their athletics program is awful mostly because the kids cant even keep a grade point average to participate. They are a joke to other schools and no one shows up at the games because its embarassing how bad they lose in most sports. No school spirit to speak of. They keep hiring athletic directors who seem to have no idea what they are doing and we heard coaches making jokes about the current lady which they do in front of the kids. We only point this out to show how what kind of environment this is and if your kid is into sports this isnt the place to be. A lot of kids leave after one year. We are leaving this year but would have left sooner except we missed the Choice enrollment deadline to get out and didnt know we could choice enroll out to begin with. I can see why their test scores are terrible and graduation rates are bad. If you want your kid to graduate and just be safe, try Bear Creek or Lakewood which are close. The only kids that seem to go here are only here because their parents did not enroll in the Choice enrollment to get them out soon enough and missed the deadline. Dont make the same mistake we did! Our kids deserve better!

Mi hijo samir de 7 años asiste al 2do grado en esta escuela el tiene el diagnóstico de Autismo cuando el ingreso a Kaiser no sabia leer ni escribir su nombre en 2 años que lleva en kaiser mi hijo sabe leer, escribir,sumar y restar entre otras cosas más. En mi experiencia como madre me siento parte d la familia Kaiser por que así me hacen sentir los maestros de mi hijo nos han apoyado tanto que no me canso de agradecer por toda la paciencia y ayuda que le brindan a mi hijo cada día y se ve reflejado en su desarrollo y aprendizaje.El aula está diseñada de acuerdo a las necesidades de cada niño facilitando asi su desempeño en las clases

Students on IEP’s are not receiving their proper accommodations because there is no SPED team. I have been working in the Colorado school system for 21 years and have never ever encountered this before.

I had my reservations about sending my daughter to this school because of the 2 out of 10 it received on this website. Once I realized that the academic rating is for K-12 and that the elementary level has much better scoring than that, I felt more comfortable. A few things that I love about this school. First, my daughter is able to do dance, drama, art, and music at school. It is less time away from home in the evenings because I don't have to put her in outside classes. Secondly, the teachers at this school (speaking at the elementary level) are outstanding. I've been so impressed with their level of commitment to helping all of the children excel. My child was already reading when she started kindergarten, but they have been wonderful about differentiating for her and others, and they have a great gifted and talented teacher who works with the kids as well.Last of all, the elementary level principal is awesome! She collaborates with teachers and parents and is constantly working to improve the school (on all levels. i.e. teaching, data, culture). This school has a great community feel and gives great academic opportunities as well as art-filled experiences.

My daughter attended last year and so glad we left for another school. There are parents we talked to that still has their child going to this school and nothing has changed. New principal same result so far. Bullying is still rampant. Student body disrespectful to teachers. Per source numerous fights weekly with latest bigger kid beating up a little kid. Teacher tied to stop it, then big kid punches the teacher. Wow just wow. You can't fix bad students with parents who don't care. Sadly this school needs to consider shutting down again.
