Description

So according to the history of this land in 1951 this property was subdivided from the house just to the south. It became .21 acre and the garage which was part of the house to the south originally was built out and converted into a single-family home with a one bedroom on the west side of the garage. Bathroom and Kitchen were added in the middle and also a North door entrance between the garage and the new additional bedroom with a utility closet for a washer and dryer. All still remain and have been taken down to frame and bare floor. Ideally this structure could be lifted and remodeled into a two story home with the remain property as a garden space or iut would be a perfect lot to build a home just behind the Garage/home unit?
This has now become a lovely and very health biodynamic urban farm.
The history of this area has been agriculture and previous decades it was the majority of a huge fruit orchard. This area also has a large Native American population history and is very close to the beautiful river called the Willamette. One of things to note if you haven't figured that out already is that there is a bridge directly east that leads across the river and into a large mall the most all large box stores that you can imagine, so it has the best of both worlds. The river bike trail takes one through town and into Springfield without a single stop light!!! The local community garden is there in less than 1/2 mile, as well as a city bus stop and local vegetable stand.

"Almost everyone obeys local dog leash ordinances. that is always nice. and most of the dogs are friendly too."
  • River.faille
"There’s a lot of homeless but not much crime. It’s affordable and safe. The parks are nice, and it’s got decent schools. I would definitely buy a house in this area at some point. There’s some trashy elements in the apartment complexes but it’s pretty full of community feeling and people look out for one another here too. "
  • Pamela M.
"we have very nice potlucks and events put on in our neighborhood by the local churches. also Emerald park puts together some nice weekend events"
  • Thehillgang
"There is a very active & big railway station to the west of NW Expressway that kids should stay away from. If your a light sleeper the trains make a fair amount of noise even in the evening. "
  • Hughseahalwks62
