Charming 1-bedroom carriage house in Oak View lovingly referred to as "Triple Mint". Easy walk to public transit, local stores and within blocks of the Ojai Bike and Equestrian paths.

Upstairs is a large, open and airy bedroom space with beautiful light, wood floors, and a small closet.

Downstairs includes a galley-style kitchen with ample storage, a laundry room with washer and dryer hook ups & additional storage, a bathroom with a combo shower/tub and single car garage. Past tenants have used the garage as a living room, the garage has a built in closet space at the back.

Property is shared but privatized for each unit, with a 3B/1B at the front of the property that is currently rented to a single woman.

The unit has a private driveway for off street and gated parking. A sweet little yard space with room to garden and enjoy the outdoors and a small storage shed nicely shaded by a large pine tree.

Please be aware: this is an older, grandfathered in home, the stairs to the upstairs bedroom space are steeper than traditional stairs. For an able bodied individual it's not a problem, but unfortunately it would be difficult for an elderly or physically disabled person.

Absolutely no smoking. Pet may be considered. Peaceful, quiet, easygoing people desired as it is a shared space within close proximity of front unit and neighbors.

Background check, security deposit and previous rental references will be requested as we look for the best fit for our home.

Owner pays for water. Additional utilities are the responsibility of the tenant. Pets may be considered, with an additional deposit, we will need to meet them and be sure it's not an issue with our front unit tenants animals. Possibility to share trash with front unit - will need to be arranged.

    "This area typically has 2 or 3 well-maintained homes punctuated by other properties that sport long-established junk heaps and rodents. Loud Harleys and ear-piercing internal combustion engines of all sorts can be heard throughout the day, as well as the cries of neglected/abused dogs and other animals (it's rural). We are one of a handful of households who actually USE the curbside recycling service; the rest figure it's "all trash", I suppose. Not a great neighborhood, but some very nice normal people sprinkled throughout the other crap."
