Leschi has a quaint community vibe with several restaurants, a great grocery store and many green and open spaces. A swimming dock, a tennis court and running & hiking trails are only a few blocks away. The Metro 27 bus that heads downtown, has a stop that is located 200 meters away. Driving time to downtown Seattle is 10 minutes.
The house sits on a sunny 6700 square foot lot that includes a large front yard and fenced back yard. The yard is maintained, as lawn mowing and weeding service is included in the lease. The east side of the house has a large deck, including furniture, offering nice territorial views and morning sun. The west side has a large patio with furniture for entertaining and provides afternoon sun. A Solo stove is available for use on the back patio. The north side has a covered porch with a barbecue for year round use, which is located close to the kitchen. The south side has parking access for 2 medium size vehicles.
This 2 bedroom, 2 bath, fully furnished and equipped home comes with everything that someone may need. The first floor includes a dedicated office space with storage, a printer and desktop monitors. The living room has a natural gas fireplace and a large screen TV. For dining, there is a cozy nook that comfortably seats 6. A full bathroom includes a large claw foot bath tub, that can also be used as a shower. The kitchen is completely stocked with new plates and silverware, an espresso machine, a mix master and all the necessary kitchen ware. A gas range provides the heat for cooking. The downstairs is centrally heated with a natural gas furnace.
The second floor features a large airy master bedroom, with a firm king sized bed, a ceiling fan and screened french doors that open to a small deck. The master bedroom does have air conditioning for the hottest days of the summer. The master bedroom features two large floor to ceiling closets with built in drawers and cubbies. The bathroom has a large recently renovated glass shower enclosure. A laundry chute conveniently empties to the basement laundry area. The second bedroom includes a queen sized bed, air conditioning, additional storage and French doors opening to a Juliet balcony. The upstairs has in-floor radiant heat.
The basement is a very useful space, that includes a washer/dryer and laundry bench, a utility sink, a additional freezer, many shelves for storage, a work bench fully equipped with tools of all kinds and comes completely stocked with cleaning supplies for the house. A carport provides an additional storage option, but also stores the large recycling and waste bins as well as garden tools.
Owner pays for grass cutting, periodic weeding/maintenance. Renter is responsible for natural gas, electricity, water, garbage, cable, internet. Rent is $5000 per month with first, last and $3000 damage required to move-in.

He is pushed academically, and I'm confident in the education and opportunity he's receiving, in and out of the classroom. Take a look at the college placement, and you'll get an idea of how good Garfield is. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHistorically, Leschi Elementary is where Seattle's own Jimi Hendrix attended before Washington Middle. More importantly, Leschi Elementary is perhaps the best kept secret in Seattle. My child attended the Montessori program that fit perfectly, a learning style as no other. The outstanding Teachers were engaging, present remarkably loving. Excellent educators with empathy in spadefuls. The diversity is celebrated daily, as it should be, in that we are all equal with the right to the best education available. These young children will become 21st Century trailblazers of what's ahead. The PTA is remarkable! No other words can describe how united! Students are given opportunity to sing in the Leschi Elementary Choir and participate with Seattle Music Partners at no cost to any child unable to participate financially. Overall there is kindness and genuine concern for each child ... from every member of staff. Apply early for Montessori. Despite Meany being a large school my son seems to have adapted to the environment fairly seamlessly. The teachers seem committed and engaged and I can confidently say it has vastly exceeded my expectations. The level of academic rigor seems quite satisfactory, he's learning a lot, has made new friends and without exception they all seem to be great kids.
