Description

Commanding 1914 Craftsman in the heart of Mount Baker, enjoys brilliant vistas of peaceful Mount Baker Park across the street. Grand entry foyer with elegant staircase joins stately formal living and dining rooms of a scale found only in times past. Walls of divided light windows bring the outside in, illuminating refinished old-growth wood floors, soaring high ceilings, vintage glass doorknobs, radiators and other fine details of a century ago. Flowing floor plan makes for easy living and hosting large gatherings with ease. Spacious, sunny kitchen offers endless possibilities. On the lower level, a complete one bedroom apartment with separate access and tons of unfinished basement storage, shelving, workshop area, and more. Ascending the staircase to the second floor, you will be charmed and amazed by the over-sized master bedroom with its own fireplace and serene views of the park and Mount Baker Boulevard. Three more generous bedrooms and an updated full bath complete this floor. Vaulted ceilings in fourth bedroom make way to the sunny third floor loft and huge unfinished attic space for a potential master suite. A home as stunning and grand as its location. Enjoy a walk through the park with its lush, winding, wooded landscapes, down to the Mount Baker Bathing Beach and Lake Washington Shores. On your way home, stop across the street at Mioposto caf e pizzeria, a neighborhood favorite. Conveniently located just eight blocks to the new Mount Baker light rail station, twenty minutes by car to downtown or the east side.

"Community gatherings and also there are schools nearby that host school events. I also like the local shops that are nearby. It adds a lot of local feel to the community that can’t be found in other places. I also like Christmas time as there seems to be more of a feel of community during this time and during any of the holidays"

"I've lived in this neighborhood for the last 4 years. It's a fairly quiet residential neighborhood with a lot of families. Close to a high school and only about a 5 minute drive to the lake! There's an incredible view of the city within a 10 minute walk and many cute restaurants nearby. The commute to downtown is only 30 minutes by bus or 20 by the light rail which is conveniently located within a 10 minute walking distance."
