I was nervous to send my child here after the reviews, but I didnt have much choice. This school offers TK which is AWESOME. I ended up volunteering 1-2 times a week and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff really does care, they try their hardest to have fun while learning, the school does many activities and ALWAYS welcomes parents, grandparents, aunts & uncles to join in (Friday Flag Day, Wake Up and Read, Family Math Night, honoring veterans, carnival night, National walk to School day, etc). The teachers seem to really love what they do, I haven't met a single teacher who isn't passionate about their students. When my child bumped their head on the playground, I was called by the nurse to explain what happened and that my child was okay. This school serves free breakfast and lunch to ALL students no matter the family income. I cant speak for test scores or bullying as I have no knowledge on that subject, but as far as I can tell, this school deserves a higher rating than it gets. The only thing I really dislike is the pickup situation. The parking lot and streets are not capable of handling so many students, so parents will park behind you and block you in until they get their child. Not the schools fault but it does suck.

I feel like this school is genuinely one of the worst the adults not the teachers but the guards they are very rude to kids who are trying there best the teachers don't really care about bullying and coming from a student a teacher did not acknowledge the bullying until they came in crying but the counselors are very good with there job and also leadership they give kids leadership when they don't need it because then they get a high on bosing people around but other then that I would not recommend this school for anyone

In our family's experience, Pinacate Middle School has been an extremely disappointing place to attend. Our child was subjected to severe bullying that has had such a serious emotional impact they now require therapy, and we do not feel the school provided the safe and supportive environment every student deserves. The bathrooms were often unpleasant due to strong odors, and classrooms were frequently disrupted by students who treated class like a joke, ignored teachers, and made it difficult for others to learn. We also witnessed a lack of respect toward teachers, with students openly disrespecting them. Based on what our family experienced, we believe the school has significant issues that need to be addressed, and its public 2.7 rating reflects that many people have concerns and believe there is substantial room for improvement also the school
