About this House

What's unique:Huge fenced yardRose bushesAmple parkingPalm treesPrivate roadBeautiful natural setting
Unique space with huge fenced yard within beautiful natural setting. I'm renting this 2 bedroom townhome located on a private road in Spring Valley, less than a minute from the intersection of the 94 and 125 freeways -- the home is nestled on the other side of a hill, and so protected from the noise and the hustle and bustle.

Just installed a new floor and upgraded all the electrical switches and outlets. There is ample parking and great views from the front patio. Basically palm trees and great views out of every window.

The unit is attached to a 2200 sf backyard with fire pit and 400sf patio and rose bushes and an indomitable palm tree that the old owners tried to remove but couldn't get out, now it's a testament to the resilience of mother nature (see pics). Property is filled with expertly curated native plant gardens, filled with succulents and fruiting cacti, palms and pepper and olive and eucalyptus trees.

The property also features a half acre backyard that is shared with chickens and bunnies, and a 30 year old tortoise named Karl, and more recently a significantly older Tortoise named Murray - once you get to Murray's age, it's impolite to ask a tortoise their age.

Conveniently located less than a minute to the 95 and 125 freeways. Just a few minutes to the new restaurants and coffee shops and craft beer and Sushi and authentic Italian in La Mesa, Casa de Oro, and more recently Lemon Grove. Giardino, Mama Mia, Valley Farms Market, Zad, Ayumi, Mastiff Kitchen, Dark Horse, Framers Table, Public Square, Zest Wine Bistro, and of course La Posta De Acapulco. Recently discovered great Chaldean place Sahara Taste of the Middle East.

In unit Washer/Dryer.

Cats or well behaved dogs OK with additional pet deposit.

Tenant pays gas and electric. Owner pays water and trash.
First month's rent plus security deposit (one month's rent)

"There seem to be many families here with all ages of children but I don't see enough community gathering between neighbors"
  • Cierraconwright
"I drive everywhere. There aren’t many sidewalks, although that has started to change, but there are also a lot of hills which makes walking difficult regardless "
  • 8khvf4ns8s
"The neighborhood is quiet and safe. It gets really hot during summer. I like this neighborhood. I like the schools and stores nearby. "
  • Joseph Willis
"Commuting is easy as long as you’re not using public transit buses don’t run often enough and stop running early"
  • Trician Monica Puno
"Driving on the 125 (both directions) is bad during rush hour traffic can get pretty heavy. 54, 125 & 8 are the freeways nearby "
  • Eliana Suarez
"Lots of dog owners. Don’t pick up after their dog on the daily. Dogs on leashes. People help each other with lost wondering dogs on the streets"

"Not enough dog park's and the one they do have is sketchy and not kept up. Not a good neighborhood to go do walks"
  • Douglas
"Drive 15 minutes in my own car to work. The 94 freeway has crazy drivers. The freeways have a ton of garbage. "
  • Danieldeherrera612
"it's a small town vibe on the outskirts of a larger city. and the shopping centers are pretty good. "
  • Fatima R.
"They would like it because there’s a bunch of people here that have dogs. They walk them around the neighborhood, there’s also a park nearby. They wouldn’t like this neighborhood because there’s a few coyotes here at night. A lot of cars pass by during the night. A lot of cats."
  • Shawn F.
"there is coyotes at night time and not much grass areas to play......................................."
  • The_Floyd’s
"People walk their dogs regularly, we have two furry friends and most neighbors have pets in our block. Plus this is an unincorporated area so we even have chickens, pony’s, goats on our block "
  • Goaimeekristine
"Hills for good exercise. There are also sidewalks around Traffic is minimal as streets are winding and keep traffic speeds slow"
  • Richard V.
"I live on a hill so I walk my dog at the Park where it is nice. I f you don't have bags the park does provide. "

"there are different areas of spring valley. where I am is a lot of commercial, so it is convenient however it lacks the neighborhood feel. I will say though in my experience everyone seems genuinely very friendly in the businesses as well as the neighbors. it is a good community."

  • Gomez Family
"Too busy to attend but I know the park always has really fun events for the community. I’m not sure about any more events because I don’t stay informed."
