The cabin had a partial remodel in 2019 and became a popular 5 star vacation rental for a couple years. We are now offering to lease it for a longer rental period of 3-6 months. The 3 bed 1 bath cabin is on one level and is equipped with forced air heating along with a functional rustic stone fireplace for that cabin ambiance. Curtained windows overlook the river and surrounding area. A large open family room and kitchen. The newly remodeled kitchen features a gas range and electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, toaster, microwave and all utensils to cook complete meals. A long Butcher-block countertop with ample room for stool seating. Rustic quite -close alder cabinets. A remodeled bathroom features slate tile, pressed tin ceiling and fun corrugated steel shower both intended to mimic the old miners' cabins that historically dotted the area. The family room also features a rustic fold to the wall dining table, a nice space saver when needed. The front covered porch includes a classic picnic table, 2 adirondack chairs, 1 couch swing, propane grill and large bear proof trash can.
The cabin is located near the towns of Empire and Georgetown. Only 20 miles to Winter Park and 17 miles to Loveland ski areas, 30 miles to front range. Easily reached by driving 1/4 mile off highway 40 on a smooth very accessible scenic road that passes beneath gorgeous aspens and pines. In the winter months, the road is plowed daily by the county making the Jungfrau cabin easily accessed all year round by all vehicle types. 2 car level parking area adjacent to the cabin. The cabin rests graciously on tributary of Clear Creek River and on what was once the original 1870's wagon trail over Berthoud pass.
So here is your chance to live full time in an amazing cabin overlooking the river. You'll get to experience all its alluring charm not just for a weekend or a week, but for 1-4 Colorado seasons.
