4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school overall is nice. The teachers are good and many other staff are too. The only problem is the actions of the students that go to Blanton. The school pretty diverse and is home to many Hispanic children. My biggest problem is these children discriminate other races and make jokes about them which aren’t even funny and the school has done nothing about it. It has happened in front of staff but they don’t do anything about it. The people who do this type of discrimination is mostly the higher grades. Some are overall racist towards other races and are very ignorant. The students are practically bullying other student because they aren’t Hispanic or because of their race.Other Review1y ago - Carter J High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a current 8th grader at Carter, I can definitely say that I wouldn't pick any other school over it. There are a lot of wonderful staff at Carter, and although the new principal is despised by most students you can quickly overlook her and find all the amazing opportunities offered. They have amazing pap teachers ( Mrs.Seaberry & Mrs.Cooley love u both) who do so much for their students' success. Carters AVID and STEM programs are highly recommended and to anyone interested in art should check out the art club. Carter is also a decently racially diverse place and LGBTQ+ friendly school. I don't ever recall any negative opinions coming from a teacher in my 2 years of attending. And please rest assured that there are a lot of security protocols in place to help and protect you or your child. It also a very disabled child-friendly school. Even during the time I had just gone through a leg injury all of the staff were understanding. (allowing me to leave class 5 mins earlier to not accidentally get hurt by the crowd during the passing period, use the elevator, leave school early so that I could rest, giving me an entire week to recover, etc.) The teachers also took a lot of extra lengths to make sure make up work wasn't hell for me and took time out of their days to make sure I was caught up with everyone else and not left behind. I'm extremely grateful for them. Overall, Carter's a good school and I would recommend not to believe all the fake rumors and only speak about it once you have experienced the school for yourself.Student Review5y ago - Check out schools near 309 E Mitchell St.

"I inherited this house from my Aunt, so my family has Lived on the street for over 70 years now. It does tend to get a little crazy busy when there’s an event at AT&T Stadium – usually either note just stay in your house and not plan on leaving or leaving and not coming home till later. Recently this year they started actually towing anyone who was parked on the street during event regardless if they were at their own home or not."
