Lovingly (or not so) referred to as Pill Hill for years because of the hospitals, First Hill has begun to reinvent itself as an actual place to live. Walking distance from Downtown, Capitol Hill, Central District, the International District, and one bus away from the whole world. There's the streetcar on Broadway. Walking distance to the Hideout, Quarter Lounge, Vitos, Sugar Bakery, a 24 hour gym, Stockbox Grocers, Frye Art Museum, Lotus Vietnamese, 206 Burger Co, Georges Deli, and Italian Family Pizza. The First Hill Improvement Association has really helped this place form it's own identity, and it's wonderful."
