The teachers are always screaming and yelling at the kids and calling them selfish and entitled, instead of constructively correcting that behavior. They purposefully force kids to work with people they dislike and then act confused when they are rude to each other. "But that's not how it works in real life, though!" Actually, it is. If an adult dislikes their job, they will quit it the first chance that they get.CLEANLINESS. The bathrooms are atrocious and there are cockroaches everywhere. The janitors don't do anything about it.The little discipline they do give the children is either too strict or not strict enough. Nearly all of the threats that the teachers make are empty and they never follow through, and the teachers who do follow through, follow through to the wrong people, the people who lash back at their attackers. It's like poking a rabid dog and then getting angry when it comes to bite you.EMOTIONAL SUPPORT? NONEXISTENT! I am a young girl who was sexually harassed once. When I approached the counselor about this, she said that she would talk to him. Well? She got back later. You know what she said? "Well, he said you were friends, so... I don't know what to tell you." This is just one of the many examples of the staff /not caring./ Some others are the "free seating." They InSiSt that if NOBODY in the grade has more than three demerits (it takes ONE child, yes, and while they are seldom, some teachers hand out these demerits as if they were candy), then they don't let us sit next to our friends. Ah, yes. The illusion of free choice.Bullying? Don't get me /started./ I've had other kids throw food at me for simply existing, and they didn't do anything.There is very little support for students afflicted with conditions like ADHD- in fact, the system is toxic to those children.And you know what? Special shout out to the phenomenal counseling department lead by Mrs. Peart they are the Gold Standard.
