Read what parents are saying about Hillside Elementary SchoolThis school is amazing, we have had the best experience at this school for many years, the staff are so kind as well as the teachers. Events are an ongoing motivating thing and the ones held at this school are great. I would highly recommend this school although many of the good teachers have left, the old staff are always there to provide a great time.

Posted by a parent on 12/12/2021If I could give 0 stars I would! My son goes to this school and ha abren bullied multiple times. I expressed my concern to the teacher and nothing was done! He expressed his concerns to teachers and nothing was done! Then he started reacting and defending himself and then teachers have something to say! Requested meeting with principal and was promised a meeting which never came! I wish I would have listed to the neighbors at my complex when I moved here regarding bullying at Hillside Elementary and I would have not moved here. But honestly my son has been in multiple schools and he had never had any issues before. I am currently looking for a place to move so I can change him from schools. I’m writing this review not because I expected the school to do anything because I already know they won’t. Because they do not care! But because I hope parents check this before enrolling they kids and know where this school stands in bullying. I regret the moment I enrolled my son to this school!
Posted by a parent on 11/11/2021We love Hillside. Even though my child went in the middle of a pandemic, I did feel we always had support and the teacher was willing to help us. The staff were always nice and the building was always clean.

When I've been able to visit the school in the past it has always exuded an ambiance of a happy nurturing environment. My children are excited to get on the bus each morning. I now have two children that attend the school, and I am blown away with the progress that my youngest is showing. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat curriculum but unfortunately the treatment to some ethnic groups are not the same! They need to improve and get some inclusion training! My daughter was born in the USA as well my husband and we speak English in our household but base on her last name she was put in some Spanish programs which she didn’t understand and was confused! Parents often hear that middle school is hard no matter where your student is at school. That is simply not the case at Atlanta Academy. The faculty and staff genuinely want their students to excel and provide support when it is needed, which has developed great self-confidence in our son. Atlanta Academy has continued to foster his love for learning and provided great in and out of classroom opportunities.
