7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf I had the choice, I wouldn't have ever attended this school. It looks decent at a glance but that's really all it is: decent. The school has what it takes for you to have a mediocre high school experience so if you want to just cruise through high school, this school is fine. But if you're looking to actually enjoy your experience and/or challenge yourself, this is not the choice for you. Starting with the good, the school has some programs like a STEAM program that allows you to gain college credits as well as college now classes. It also has summer bridge in which you take earth science and your language class. Handful of decent teachers. 1st, the school is located in a building that was meant to be a factory so there're a bunch of weird columns and exposed piping on the ceiling in basically every room that students and teachers have to maneuver around. The AC is terribly noisy, so much so that teachers would have to turn it off during presentations. No auditorium (meetings are in the caferteria) and no field (anything that can be is in the gym, which isn't really a gym either, and everything else is at neighboring parks)2nd, the education you're getting is average. Some teachers don't know how to teach. One of the teachers was complained about by other students. We'd go through some absolutely useless exercises throughout the school year which were at best, annoying, and at worst, a waste of time. Other teachers were cited as unreasonably harsh and strict and one was also accused of being racist. And lastly, some teachers were just lazy, only showing videos and not actually teaching. Also from what I heard, quite a few of the actually good teachers left.3rd, very few valuable extracurriculars. I can count the amount of clubs on 2 hands. Very low student morale, nobody really attends. Not a lot of options sports-wise either, one sport per gender per season.Overall not a great school. Consider the other options you have before choosing to go to this school, it really isnt great.Other Review8mo ago - Ps 8 Robert Fulton
