The City of Laurel has twice received the prestigious Livable Community Award, named Tree City USA. Laurel is a quaint, historical, charming city with great attributes. The 75-year-old Lauren Rogers Museum of Art boasts more than 2,000 items in its collections and over 10,000 square feet of exhibition areas. Community concerts, theatre, and ballet are favored recreational options. There are state ranked baseball, tennis, soccer, swim, and football teams throughout the community and nationally ranked junior college teams.
