Description

**Big View Farm – The Name Says It All**

From the front porch of your new home, immerse yourself in the breathtaking view of a two-acre, manicured lake that serves as your front yard. Let the stunning sunsets transform your evenings, while you watch horses graze on lush green grass, framed by a classic black fence with the Equestrian Barn as the property's centerpiece.

It feels like just yesterday that I was 16, dreaming of the life that lay ahead. A few blinks later, and here I am, looking back on what these 77 years have brought my wife and me — 57 of them spent as a married couple. As we embrace the twilight of our years, we find ourselves understanding the true meaning of 'downsizing.'

We bought this property in 1976, cleared the land, and in 1977, built the home where we would raise our family. Over the years, we added the lake, a pool, a patio with an arbor, a shop, a greenhouse, and a 29,000-square-foot equestrian center — the barn.

Truly, this is country living at its finest.

While it embodies the essence of rural life, Big View Farm is conveniently located just six miles from the charming city of Laurel, Mississippi, recently brought into the spotlight by the HGTV show "Hometown." In fact, on Easter Sunday in 2021, our son Robby and his wife Angie were featured on the show, with the barn making an appearance in a few scenes. Laurel is a city rich in history, creativity, and a dedication to growth and prosperity.

Big View Farm is also just seven miles from I-59 and 27 miles from Hattiesburg-Laurel Regional Airport (PIB).

My hope is that Big View Farm brings you and your family the same love, comfort, peace, and joy that it has blessed us with over the past 47 years.
