Description
This property is no longer available to rent or to buy. This description is from May 02, 2023
Rarely available, Boerum Hill Historic District, single-family row house. Excellent condition, lovingly un-renovated, and ready for reimagining. Retaining all of the original charm that has made these homes the most sought after in one of Brooklyn's most sought-after locations, an opportunity to create a home uniquely yours. Three stories, plus a cellar, three bedrooms, one and a half baths, a home of brick and stone, erected in c1874, and attributed to architect/builder Benjamin T. Robbins for Helen Martense. Italianate in style, encompassing three bays, with some alterations done prior to c.1938, one of which is a reimagined stoop with masonry walls. A standout today, with a gentle façade, in contrast to the red brick row houses of the block. The entrance is classic. The original double-leaf wood and glass door with transom is perfectly intact. Exquisite light, with Northern and Southern exposures, ensures that your gated front garden and the serene private rear are bathed in sunlight. The enormous six-pane windows of the parlor floor hint at the ceiling height within. The marble mantle and pristine tin ceiling of this level's double parlors remain gloriously intact. The garden level retains the original design, with a front-facing dining room, the second of the home's fireplaces, and the historic brick "cellar kitchen" at the rear. Through a Dutch Door, your kitchen overlooks a garden ready for planting. The top floor features three bedrooms, the primary spanning the width of the home, two additional rear-facing bedrooms, and a skylit center bath. Perched between Bond and Nevins Streets, a stone's throw from Barclay's Center, and nearby to all, this is truly a must-see property.

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis has been a very challenging school year and 38 completely exceeded my expectations. My son in Kindergarten (the non-gifted classroom) left reading above grade level, loved his teacher and friends, and thrived during a really difficult and confusing time. He's been doing even better since we have gone to 5 days per week. Im very appreciative of my experience at 38 for the past 2 years.Parent Review2y ago - Brooklyn High School of the Arts

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has provided me with a good sum of experience and knowledge I've deemed valuable so far. Considering I'm a Sophmore at the moment, I've still got a way to go until I can create a fully versed and concise opinion on the school, though I will say my experience with the school has been generally positive overall. The teachers are professional and respectful both inside and outside a current lesson, allowing for an environment where I can learn efficiently, while also being able to enjoy my time at school without unnecessary work pressure added onto my shoulders. The teachers act as actual mentors rather than something less than standard.Fights are broken up relatively quickly, and it's never difficult to reach out to administration or teachers in the event of an issue. The clubs are alright, but certain ones demand a heavy amount of time, taking away a bit of accessibility I wish I had otherwise.Student Review1y ago - The Math And Science Exploratory School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat community and all, and the counselor is one of the best, but the accusations against me were terrible, as you cant have privacy and some of the teachers were extremely rude and just held outright grudges against students. In fact, one teacher almost ruined my future through an accusation, and she clearly had some kind of problem with me? Even though I’m a pretty innocent and nice kid. Overall, unless you want your future ruined, and face terrible teachers, choose a different school. I’m glad I’ll be out of there in a month, when summer starts.Student Review11mo ago - Check out schools near 241 Wyckoff St.
