Description
This property is no longer available to rent or to buy. This description is from July 20, 2023
Bright and wide duplex-down in the perfect Bucktown location. 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Enjoy open-concept living with a large and light filled living/dining/kitchen area. This space is impressive, with wrap-around windows in the living room with a wood burning fireplace. A great dining area that comfortably holds a big table and a hutch. The kitchen, which overlooks the living and dining area, features stone countertops, stainless steel appliances, plenty of cabinet space, and a long peninsula with dining for 4. Hardwood floors throughout all of the living areas. The primary bedroom is gracious, and comfortably holds a king size bed and an additional seating area. The primary bathroom has a double vanity, a jetted tub and stand alone shower. Large, fully-organized walk-in closet. The lower level features gorgeous hardwood floors and high ceilings. The family room is spacious and has another wood burning fireplace. A bedroom opens to the family room via french doors and would make a perfect home office. There is a full bathroom and another bedroom on this level as well. All bedroom closets are fully built out. Perhaps the best part are the THREE very functional and distinct outdoor spaces. Adjacent to the family room downstairs is an enclosed patio; North-facing it's perfect for hot summer days and for kids to play safely. Off the back of the home is a covered rear deck. It's perfect for grilling and outdoor dining. Finally, on top of the garage is a private roof deck that is fantastic for parties and outdoor hangs; South-facing it gets great light all year long and there's a pergola which creates welcomed shade on the hottest summer days. This is a well cared for and very well managed building. Plenty of extra storage space in the shared common area. Garage parking included. Fantastic location within the Pulaski Elementary district. Walk to cute neighborhood bars and restaurants, family-owned grocery stores and shops, and great parks and outdoor pools. Close to transportation; the Blue Line and 90/94. This is a great condo!

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is entering his 3rd year at Pulaski International School. I'm a big fan of the principal, teachers, the support staff, and the extremely active parent groups at Pulaski.I'm thrilled this school goes to great lengths to meet my child's individual needs not just academically, but socially and emotionally (he's emotionally immature). I would strongly recommend this CPS to anyone considering PIS. Go Sabers :)Parent Review8mo ago - Clemente Community Academy High School

What Locals Say about Bucktown

"Very neighborhoody & walkable but only 3 miles north of downtown, easy access to Lincoln Park, West Loop, & Bucktown offers great restaurants, shopping & parks. "

"Sketchy, always delayed, dirty and crowded.. I’ve seen things on the blue line no one should ever have to witness (especially before 8am). 0/10 would recommend but it’s the cheapest and quickest way to get to the loop. Lots of folks are always hanging around the stops, and I’ve stepped off the train a few times only to find myself in the middle of a crime scene. Literally.. a crime scene. "

"dog owners would really like the area because it is safe, friendly and clean. It seems like the majority of the people who live here are responsible and care about their neighborhood. It also has many places specific to people who like to run or walk and even bike. "

"606 is great for running and walking. The farmers market, movies in the park, and Wicker Park fest in the summer are all great!"

"Puerto Rican parade, and a 606 bike trail. the neighborhood overall feel safe especially at night time you don't have to worry it's very quiet clean trash is picked up everyone's yards in lawns are kept very nice. You can feel safe if walking around at night time."

"I could walk my dog at any time of day and feel safe. Everyone is very good about picking up after themselves. "
- Dkensick

"My commute to downtown is on the blue line which is an 8 minute walk from my house. Very easy access to the interstate as well."
- Trulia User

"Was an interesting neighborhood that became over-gentrified and lost all that made it desirable. Chain businesses that you can find in any suburban mall have replaced local spots.. Has lost any sense of diversity or culture "
- Chris S.
- Resident

"Walk 8-10 minutes to the Damen Blue Line to get into the Loop. Not too bad. Safe walk too, for the most part. So I can’t complain too much"
- Tulsachick
- Resident
- 3y ago
"Plenty of dogs in the neighborhood to have play dates with and to always keep your dog entertained. 3 dog parks close by too. Easy way to make friends and get to know your neighbors is to simply take a walk around the block. "
- Coxxx488
- Resident

"There are many families with children due to the plethora of single-family homes in the area. Remainder of neighborhood tends to be younger adults."
- Tulsachick

"I love the friendly neighbors, the gorgeous architecture and the safety I feel living in Bucktown. "
- Meredith A.

"Lots of trees and green spaces for dogs to sniff, but there are a lot of rabbits and rats running around at night."
- Emilysilman

"There are plenty of more spacious living options here for people with dogs. Also there are some great parks within walking distance."
- Zach A. G.

"Clean, safe parks. There are a few schools in the neighborhood that seem to drive a lot of traffic from outside the neighborhood which I assume indicates the schools are the best in the city/Chicagoland area."
- Dustfingerink
- Resident

"Lots of families in the neighborhood and good places near by for food and to relax. Child daycare centers up and down North Ave as well as pet hotels. Really close to a very safe blue line stop."
- Emilysilman

"I don’t have kids so I can’t weigh in on this. But I’d imagine that it’s a nice place to raise kids. "

"Overall nice area. Plenty of nice parks and great dining and shopping options. The neighborhood is welcoming and well-preserved. "
- Kim K.

"Crowded! The blue line is a disaster at Damen and Division stops from 6:30-9am. Be prepared to squish in after allowing 1-2 trains go back full with wall to wall. It’s extremely stressful and frustrating EVERY DAY!"
- Tom S.
- Resident

"Art event. Plenty of small events constantly. Great place to be. Parks and small local restaurants that host. Moving here there was plenty to find right away that make you feel at home. The Facebook pages for the community events and groups are great and connected"

"I have lived in Bucktown for the past 5 years and absolutely love it. I live on a quiet, tree-lined street. Everyone does their part to nicely maintain their properties and I live walking my dog around here because it’s beautiful and full of other dogs and dog lovers. "

"It’s not unique. People don’t know one another, ppl are not friendly people don’t clean after their dogs, people get assaulted at night. There are more taverns than convenient stores"
- Trulia User
