4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI recently graduated from Frederick High School. I loved it! I wouldn't want to change my high school experience at all. All the students take great pride in attending Frederick High. The amount of school spirit is amazing. The school is super diverse which I love. It really does prepare us for the real world. The physical school isn't too great but there are plans for a brand new building. Im going into college with 30 credits because of all the AP courses I took. There are a wide variety of courses to choose from and the teachers are great. The teachers do a great job at preparing the students for the tests and more. They want us to be ready for college and to do so, they challenge the students. The only concern is, there isn't a great amount of support for IEP students. But over all I think its a great school.Student Review11y ago8 Reviews - West Frederick Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe administration at this school is fantastic! My daughter has established positive relationships with her counselor, AP and even the Principle. She feels comfortable going to anyone in administration. The teachers CARE so much about the students. In the classes where my daughter excels, the teachers find additional work for her to stay busy. She has 2 teachers she doesn't like as much, but yet those teachers are still wonderful with her. The school has a lot of issues with bullying and fights BUT the administration is on top of it that things do not escalate. I couldn't be happier with the teachers and administration at this school. It's been an extremely positive experience for my daughter from an educational experience.Parent Review12y ago1 Reviews - Whittier Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrifying. Kids with severe learning disabilities not separated from other students, thus constantly disrupting the class and not affording those students the teaching they need. A counselor in a classroom, students distracting with profanity outbursts and running out of classrooms yelling "I want to go home" This is just the first three months of school. Also, my child has had homework twice this year. Twice. I verified and there is no homework, and when it is given ( 2 times) it is ridiculous how low a bar this school sets for its children. It is impossible to learn with children with disabilities constantly distracting the class. Bringing a counselor in the classroom only creates more distraction. I took my child here because we HAD to. But i am looking in to moving just to get another school, this has been an absolutely heart breaking experience. DO NOT SEND YOUR KID TO THIS SCHOOL if you value their education.Parent Review4y ago16 Reviews - Check out schools near 2102 Whitehall Rd #BB.

"I’ve lived here for over 10 years it’s pretty quiet most of the time and most people keep to themselves. Down side is that there’s nothing to do here so it gets pretty boring."

"I don’t know. Just make sure your dog is on a leash. Not all dogs are friendly. And you don’t know what your dog is really capable of around strangers and other dogs. "

"It’s a very safe neighborhood, there’s lots of parks I just find it can be hard to find a lot of kid and teen spaces. I’d recommend making sure your teen has a license I see this as a place to live with young kids!"

"Neighborhood is very dog friendly. People are constantly walking dogs of all sizes and breeds. We have a 100 pound Rottweiler and have no issues walking her in the neighborhood. Everyone is good about adhering to the leash laws. For the most part, people are good about cleaning up after their dog."

"That people respect each other spaces on the sidewalks, but there is a problem with picking up at the pets. Even though there are receptacles with bags and then hang on waste area for them to put them in, so no need to be lazy."
