  • Trulia User
"Nice parks within walking distance. Good police presence. Neighbors help other elderly neighbors. Quiet."
  • Trulia User
"Lots of dogs. Pets are welcome and everyone walks their dogs around the block. Have met a lot of my neighbors through their dogs."
  • Trulia User
"You see people walking their dogs all the time. Dog walkers are respectful of lawns and property. "
  • Mattmck1989

"I’ve lived here for 4 years. It’s quiet and friendly with plenty of local small business shops, but not too far from the big stores if needed. Very dog friendly."

  • Maria S.
"It’s a dog neighborhood. People are always walking their dogs around. A lot of kids running around so not the best neighborhood for a skiddish dog"
  • Greg K.
"I leave early in the morning and return late at night so traffic isn't typically a problem for me. Brookline Blvd can get busy times though. "
  • Kaitlyn
"It’s quiet and friendly. There’s a lot of culture here and amazing food. The bus lines are relatively close. There’s 2 parks and rec center and you can walk to A lot of places on the boulevard. "
  • Cynthia
"I lived there for many years, the parks are great. The grocery store is not within a walking distance. There are lots of shops, ethnic foods, bars and restaurants on the boulevard. It is over a mile from southcrest, but is on the busline. Without car you need to get rides to gricery stores though. It is a safe neighborhood I raised kids here for about ten years."
  • Dennis R.
"Close to everything. Airport, downtown, stadiums, nightlife. Great transportation options. Good ethnic food"
  • Qua5545
"What makes Brookline unique is the walkability of it, the amount of local stores within walking distances and morning commute into town from 15 - 30 mins. Also there is a community gym, pool and many parks. They are also renovating the aldi's to be much larger than it previously was. South Hills Village is roughly 20-30 min drive. A lot of dog walkers in the area and younger people as well, certainly an up and coming neighborhood in that regard."
  • Randi S.
"It’s typically a quiet neighborhood and most people take care of their property and residence. It has a lot of community stores, restaurants and parks. The field is beautiful and their is a Deck hockey field also."
  • R a. a.
"It’s a nice neighborhood to live in and I don’t see myself moving anytime soon. It is one of the better neighborhoods close to the city"
