The teachers are okay. The biggest issue is Admin. The principal refuses to address bullying concerns and neglect to contact parents when incidents have occurred. If you bring up issues to the principal, she will actively gaslight you and never acknowledge the issue or her lack of action. Overall, she gives the school a terrible reputation and is not at all qualified to do the job she was unfortunately hired to do. When issues are brought to district, they too neglect any form of accountability or action to rectify any situation. If you value your students well being and mental health, please DO NOT send your students to this school. They do NOT support families. They do NOT support kids who are being bullied. They do NOT do their jobs. They will, however, treat you like garbage.

My student was in special education and recieved wonderful services from a great staff. The campus was very inviting when we transfered in and was til graduation last year. The admin is very supportive and the amount of school spirit is amazing among the students. Really glad we chose Kennedy.

If you're trying to avoid your local homeschool by sending your kids to this charter school, don't. 60% of the teachers on this campus do not even hold a teaching credential. A lot of them are fresh out of college and have the maturity level of the students that they teach. My son's fourth grade teacher wore a pair of sweatpants to his IEP meeting. She also told the entire class a story of a student who murdered his classmates along with his parent.... this was an attempt she made to control her classroom because she waxed classroom management skills. Bullying is a huge problem on this campus and it is absolutely not addressed. The students have no repercussions no suspensions no nothing. It's allowed to just continue. It's going to continue until it result in physical violence. The students are not allowed to even talk to each other at lunch, so much for any social aspect. Per California law there should be a United States flag in every classroom displayed however, my son's classroom did not have one, but they did have a pride flag at the front of the classroom so you can ensure that the teachers will be pushing their ideological beliefs onto their students. When I brought this to the principal's attention, she acted like she had no idea the classrooms were required to have a flag. Well, how did you make it to principal ma'am? She also did not follow up with me on this concern. It was my child. He told me an American flag has been placed in his classroom. Upon dis enrolling my student from this school, I asked for his files to be sent. To which they were not in, they ended up having to physically go into the district office and make a complaint. They then requested that the files be sent to me via email. This school offers no field trips.. & they don't even have a library... no yearbooks either.
