    "Nice neighbors"
  • Cjmca
"Yes there are bears, snakes, & alligators in Florida, but we have lived in the subdivision associated with this post for 22 years and have never seen any of them. Bridgeport Colony is a hidden gem in Ft Walton Beach and extremely pleasant to live in."
  • Tessharris
"Good neighborhood. However, there is wild bear problems. We must keep our trash inside until trash day or the bears will rummage our trash. The bears also destroy fences and rain gutters. We do not walk around this neighborhood because of the bears. Though i see a few people walking their dogs."
  • 955bmktv7j
"Super friendly close to everything in town food trucks near often always something going on typically quite "
  • Kurthahn01
"Crime is very high in the area. My street is mostly crime free due to the high number of retired people. "
  • Concerned citizen
"Dogs are welcomed by most except landlords. A large percentage of the population owns pets and no one wants pets in the home they are renting. We wonder why there’s a high number of strays and animals in the pound."
  • Philsanabria
"This is a nice quiet area that is 10 minutes from Hurlburt Air Field and 15 minutes to Eglin AFB. We are also five minutes from the hospital and other medical facilities in Fort Walton Beach with easy access to all shopping and restaurants while only 20 minutes to the beach!"
  • Angie B.
"Horrible!!! Route 98, but it’s living in paradise! Choose where you work wisely based on traffic trends."
  • Christopher B.
"Nothing special really happens in this neighborhood. It’s very quiet and friendly and is a nice place to raise a family"
  • Prncessmilly1984
"It's a mixtue of medium level household income in a residential area and poverty level income. There is an Elementary school in this neighborhood. Crime is a very large issue."
  • Rosana M.
"My neighbors have a great season spirit. They do the season decorations on the yard well done. We have a beautiful holidays decoration every season!"
  • Misha R.
"I feel that the neighborhood is a great neighborhood not just the living but four of the kids as well I feel that it is safe for them to grow up in"
  • Jay C.
"SAMs club Lowe’s and Walmart are within walking distance. Senior high school and midd;e school is walking distance as well as the elementary school. We are located between Eglin AFB and Hurlburt AFB. 7 miles from the beaches. The airport is about 5 miles away. Hospitals are about 3 miles. The neighborhood is safe and the people are friendly and speak to each other. Everyone keeps there lawn groomed and there are no junk cars in front of houses. People clean up behind their dogs. It’s a good neighborhood. A car is needed to get around, everything is spread out. "
  • Madferguson
"Quiet, dead end street. Nice neighbors. Only 15 min. drive to shopping and restaurants. Lived here a year and like the area."
  • Trulia User
"I've lived in this neighborhood for 5 years and it's pretty good and friendly environment for kids pretty safe."

"Summer time traffic is busy, but not bad. There’s a lot to look at, and I feel very safe. There is public transportation that’s easy to use."
  • Stephanie Porter
"It's quite and kid friendly...just moved in this neighborhood and I love it...plan on staying for a while😊"
  • Evelyn
"my neighborhood its great good people close to everything. I will live here forever great commute not traffic at all "
  • Jay C.
"Mayflower Avenue is a heavily traveled road , most people ignore the 35mph sighs. I think large speed bumps should be installed. I live on a corner and speak to my neighbors often while working in my yard. It’s a friendly neighborhood. Just heavy traffic!"
  • Drewboske
"This is a great area. Everything is centrally locates. Many shopping stores nearby. Small, tight-knit community. Everyone knows everyone. Neighbors are more than happy to offer help, when needed. "
  • Trulia User
"this is a great neighborhood affordable and some senses I am paying way too much for when I'm running I could get a two-bedroom for almost the same price but this is a nice neighborhood as far as I know my neighborhood goes close to Walmart close to all retail stores grocer and wholesale"
  • John K.
"I have lived in this neighborhood for a couple years and it's not been bad it's convenient to large retail stores grocery stores you practically do not even need a car to live here this is probably one of the best places to live as far as convenience goes because you have everything around you here including bus stops and also groceries and restaurants and Parks and numerous other activities that you could do that pertain to living in a neighborhood."
  • Ssnmcduffie
"Every Halloween we have a neighborhood trick or treating get together. "
  • LaTrice J.
"I live in a subdivision so I usually see lots of people walking with their dogs. There aren’t any sidewalks though but I don’t mind. "
  • LaTrice J.
"It’s a nice area and I feel safe walking around at night to get some exercise and fresh air. The speed limit is low in our neighborhood so it helps "
  • Lacy B.
"this area is high crime. i do not trust my child to play outside. lots of drugs in the area. lots of people walking around. have heard several gun shots. rent is low for reason. "
  • Bikiniamanda
"we run with our dog around the neighborhood. friendly dogs. dont like walking near the trailer park areas. dogs running free, kids running free, questionable characters. "
  • spencer g.
"There are free dog doo bags available in a few spots in the neighborhood so thats convenient for dog people I suppose. "
  • Jay C.
"Safe town with great schools. Less than a mile to SAMs and Walmart. Prior middle-school and Choctaw high school are walking distance "
