Private school attention in a public school setting. Teachers are great and PTA is active in making this one of the best schools in the area.

This school has been for a while now has been turning a blind eye to male teachers walking into the girls bathroom just to check if students are vaping. There has been multiple accounts of this at Woodinville and under any circumstances should that be okay unless it is a life threatening emergency, I personally have had this happen to me, Woodinville high school caused me to have severe anxiety due to how much people there was in a class, I only went there for a welding class because My main school was SAS. Due to how much stress it gave me I was alway in the bathroom with an upset stomach. Well one morning while I was in the bathroom (with an upset stomach) a couple girls came in to the bathroom while I was still over the toilet, after a bit a male teacher puts half of his body in and pulls everyone out including me, again I am still over the toilet clearly in pain. I tell him over and over that I need to go back because I am not feeling well explained that my teacher already knew where I was and what was happening because it was a bit of a routine in the morning. Im vividly upset about this and he says that I don’t need to have an attitude with him. I personally feel like it was justified for me to be upset that a male teacher decided to take that situation into his own hands instead of getting a female teacher to come in instead.

Decent school. This is what I experienced:- Great 6th grade teachers, and maybe even better in 8th. Not as good in 7th (some are ruder or less considerate). Of course, some teachers are cooler than others, and they can be biased by gender or if you give them gifts.- There are many clubs. Just know what you're going in for before you join.- The culture varies a bit by HiCap. HiCap students almost never use phones, yet other students get away with it.- Don't try to get by without glasses if you need them. I don't think any of the teachers have heard of the word "contrast ratio", and as such, some of their slides can be hard to read.- You get the standard NSD tech experience. Students and parents both get access to StudentVUE/ParentVUE, which calculates grades from assignment scores. Only students get access to Schoology, which teachers usually use to post links. Your school Chromebook is filtered and can be monitored live by teachers with Lightspeed's tools.- While I attended, there were multiple communication mechanisms like showing a weekly announcement slide to students and sending a biweekly newsletter to students and parents, but that may change since some teachers I had retired.
