Description
This property is no longer available to rent or to buy. This description is from April 19, 2024
Welcome to this gorgeous sun-splashed 1-bedroom condo, in the heart of Capitol Hill, and located in the sensational Davmar Condominium building. This spectacular corner unit was completely renovated in 2016, with new hardwood floors, new lighting fixtures, a new electrical panel, and a brand new kitchen! The open floor plan allows the wood-burning fireplace to splendidly warm the entire space, and there is room for separate living and dining areas. The chef's kitchen was completely reconfigured and now includes bar seating, granite countertops, stainless appliances, and upgraded cabinets. Retreat to the bedroom and you'll find a space just as comfortable as the living area, with dual closets for plenty of storage. The beautifully tiled bathroom includes a wide vanity, new mirror, and a deep soaking tub. There is also a rare coat closet in the unit, and dedicated extra storage, bike room, and laundry are located one flight down the stairs on the lower level. The charm of this unit is only elevated by the captivating building that it's a part of. Head up the elevator to the amazing roofdeck with views of the US Capitol, and in the distance the Washington Monument, or head down the hall from the unit and back towards the lobby and you'll find a wonderfully maintained courtyard with a sensational garden of plants, trees, and flowers. If you must leave the building, the convenience of shops, restaurants, and markets at Eastern Market, Barracks Row, Union Station, and the H Street Corridor are all within blocks. Along with the Eastern Market Metro (Orange, Silver, and Blue lines) being nearby, and Stanton and Lincoln Park are only steps away in opposite directions. You will be hard pressed to find a more impressive place to call home, in a more convenient location! Don't miss this gem!

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI really wanted to love this school. My daughter started here last year. I must say that my experiences here have been very uncomfortable. This is not a friendly environment ( for some families). The staff are rude, aloof, and un-inviting. Including the principal. I do feel as though this school favors certain families in their community. However, it is not a school wide approach. I honestly feel that the behavior of some staff is intentional. I get some of the dirtiest looks I’ve ever gotten. I feel like it’s an act of retaliation, due to a complaint I made last year about the school.Parent Review4mo ago - Eastern High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm glad we chose Eastern for our students. My one and only complaint is that they offer only 1 world language. Other than that, they are academically challenging and offer an amazing array of extras, like debate, a medical sci academy, all the sports, jrotc, on and on. And the full IB program! Unless you live a great distance from Capitol Hill, there's no reason to go elsewhere.Parent Review4y ago - Stuart-Hobson Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a 2022 graduate from Stuart-Hobson Middle School. And I would just like to say that this school is a excellent school if your want your child to do great things. I wouldn’t listen to the great school rating because in the class of 2022. They had a bunch of child’s going to Benjamin Banneker which is the best school in DC ,School Without Walls second best school in DC, and McKinley Technology High School third best school in DC. Me being one of the students who attend McKinley Technology. All of the Teachers care about the students well being and there education. I had a teacher who I felt like I could always talk to. No one who attends Stuart-Hobson will feel alone you will always have a friend or two.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 18 9th St NE #110.
