"My familyโ€™s been here since the 1940s and the memories I have and now I live here with mine! I am the only one that lives in the Excelsior now with my family, and hopefully in the future, I can buy my house back that I grew up in!"
  • Trulia User
"Wonderful dog park in Mclaren Wonderful dog park and walking trails in McLaren park. The only down side is the park has coyotes. "
  • Trulia User
"Public transportation is very close (many bus stops around). I commute to downtown and it is a less than 10 minute drive."
  • Cubano1969
"Many friendly dogs in the neighborhood. Dog owners keep the sidewalks clean by picking up after their beloved pets."
  • Richtherapy

"I have lived in this neighborhood for 10 years. Quick walk to grocery store and restaurants of all types. Easy access to several bus lines, Light rail and BART. Easy access to 101 and 280 to South Bay."
  • Mission Terrace Neighbor
"Great safe neighborhood. Close to both BART and multiple Muni light rail and bus lines. Easy access to peninsula and South Bay by 280 and 101. Great restaurants and shops in Glen Park and on Mission Street."
  • Vrobinso
"Out of the fray of San Francisco, but with easy access to downtown, SFO, the more interesting part of Mission Street, and Ocean Avenue. I've found it to be accepting of a range of families, though it's not the friendliest neighborhood in town."
  • Fearless j.
"Mission Terrace has had serious flooding problems, particularly on Capistrano - check map. I don't know if this has been fixed, but you might want to google it."
  • Sgp67
"I've lived in this neighborhood for ten years and like it. Don't like the constant freeway noise though. Used to be good family oriented neighborhood, but that seems to be changing as more techie transient people move in. See. See like some homes have been bought by tech companies for corporate housing. "
  • Iain M.
"Nice area - plenty of parking. Safer than the Mission and much more affordable. Close to BART, MUNI, and shuttle bus stops. Easy access to 280 and points south avoid most of the SF traffic. Good for families or those who want some space and a yard. Quick trip to the Mission for entertainment and dining."
  • Zen2bear
"Mission Terrace is a hidden little oasis of quiet tree lined streets with 1920's bungalow charm. It is safe, quiet, GREAT for raising children, friendly, close to Mission Street shopping, amazing access to both public transportation and freeways. This undiscovered gem of a neighborhood is still affordable. Huge value for the dollar !"
  • John
"I live on Cayuga ave., I have at least two neighbors got robbed on Cayuga, near Santa Rosa, and Silver. at least two neighbors said their cars on their driveway were broken badly at night. "
