I’m a senior this year and I think this school is absolutely amazing. Almost everyone is respectful and supportive at Cleveland and the teachers are great. I really felt like am in a community at school.

We were worried that our teen, coming from a small private school, would have difficulties at such a large, diverse high school. Franklin High was the best choice we ever could have made. Our teen is getting more from the experience at Franklin than we ever dreamed. The kids are great, welcoming, tolerant, fun, and even polite to adults (I always appreciate that). The academics are challenging and prepare students well, as our teen's PSAT scores would attest. AP and honors classes make for lots of homework, but there is also plenty of fun happening too. Our teen is stronger, smarter, and happier because she goes to Franklin. There is not a bunch of privileged, entitled kids expecting everything to be handed to them, judging others who have less. It's a good place to be.

My daughter in her 5th year at Kimball has had stellar, experienced teachers each year at Kimball. She tested into HC and could have moved to Thurgood Marshall, but we have been so happy with her experience, teachers, Current Principal and the real world diversity of cultures and ethnicities, why would we move her?

My child has only been at this school for one and a half months, but so far I am really happy. I've heard and read that the school had a number of challenging years in the past, but I am very happy with the community the new principal seems to be building. My child looks forward to going to school every day and says that the students and teachers are nice. She came in with friends already, but has made new friends quickly, too. She has told me about 1 or 2 pretty typical middle school behavioral incidents, and the response from the staff seemed quick and appropriate (not too harsh, but also not ignoring the matter). My child is ahead academically, so I wouldn't say that she's extremely challenged, but she is definitely learning and is enjoying what she's learning. I appreciate the communication from the principal and teachers, and the positive changes they have already made and plan to continue.
