Majority of the students are friendly and inviting to new students. If your child does have issues with other students action is taken to stop bullying or other negative behaviors and not just swept under the rug. Counselors are available to the students as well as drop ins to other staff if students are having a hard day or need to talk. Teachers are friendly and quickly answer questions about their students through email on parent square. A lot of teachers provide after school help to students. Since my child has started here I have met many of the staff from counselors to teachers to aids. Most want the best for their students and ask how they can help and support students needs. They use encouraging words for students talents, dreams and passions and try to help with supplies if available. They even try to encourage new hobbies or sports for the students. She’s had the best teachers from Mrs. Motter, Mrs. Shimmel, Mrs. Clark, Mrs. Smith, to Mr. You! All the teachers here are caring, knows how to motivate and assess your child’s individual learning styles! They encourage your children to go above and beyond. The school stands for Respect, Responsibility, and Readiness! My daughter learned so much and continues to advance in every grade under the great teaching and influence of Killian school. Every teacher is positive and has a lot of passion in their work. I must say Principal Magana runs an honorable school with amazing teachers that inspire our children to learn and work hard. The parents in this school are very close and we all have in common to want to help our children succeed in school and in life! Killian has served our Rowland Heights community well, developing and preparing our children for a great future to come! Thank you for all your support Principal Magana and Superintendent Dr. Julie Mitchell! Your love of education inspires on us all to do better and excel! Rowland School District has the best schools!! "I live here not impressed with the schools. I kept my children at there previous school for there own future benefits. Homes are definitely affordable here thats why we purchased, if not would have loved to purchase in Alhambra. No complaints, my neighbors are friendly and everyone minds there own business."
