"Quiet and friendly neighbors. People are always walking their dogs. Lots of restaurants, stores and entertainment walking distance. Freeways ate close as well"
  • Pattyramirez626
"I see people walking their dogs every day and are good about picking up after them. "
  • Lynnstoner.mansir
"Beautiful Alhambra Park has a lot of activities on the weekends all summer. Live bands, kids movies, swimming pool. The streets at night have very dark areas when walking. It’s a safe area but I’d still be cautious. "
  • Ella M.
"I’ve lived here for 7 years. The parks here are lovely and dog-friendly. Stores and restaurants are a mile away, so they’re walkable but not too close. My neighbors are polite but not nosy, and I feel very safe here. The only thing I don’t like is that it takes about 20 minutes to reach any freeway due to numerous stop signs, traffic lights, traffic and distance. "
  • Cesar Martinez
"There’s a big sense of a community in Alhambra, it’s busy during the day, quiet at night in residential neighborhoods but it seems very safe "
  • Skye Ledoux
"It’s a very safe neighborhood with several young families and lots of community activities. Close to many great restaurants and grocery stores, as well as well maintained parks. Alhambra is a very family friendly area."
  • H89hx9sdw6
"Lived here all my life never had any issues with the city although sometimes it can be a bit difficult with the parking here unless you are a resident you need to get permit so it makes it difficult for people with multiple vehicles "
  • Rener4001
"Some streets can feel large to different gas but overall great streets to walk very safe lots of other dog walkers "
  • Low
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 6 years. It’s pretty quiet and it seems most people like to keep to themselves and not cause a ruckus. I run around 8-9pm in the dark and generally feel pretty safe. The thing you most likely have to lookout for are the coyotes. Other than that, I enjoy living in the neighborhood and it seems like it’s safe enough that parents don’t mind letting their kids out to play."
  • Brenda Estrada
"It’s a prime location near DTLA, Pasadena and other surrounding neighborhoods. It’s also filled with trees that make it beautiful "
  • Alfred Cherrington Jr
"Lots of nice parks for kids, super friendly, fun on Halloween. Summer time offers free meals at all the parks as well "
  • Lynn
"I work from home. But driving during commute hours is a drag, like it is everywhere in L.A. Just to get to the freeway takes 15 minutes. "
  • Charlie Rodarte
"Dog owners would like the walkable sidewalks. I personally don't walk my dog. I usually just walk everywherem"
  • Trulia User
"Schools are great for our children. Neighborhood is always quiet. Pricing for homes are higher than average but i would love to live here long term. 5 years in currently."
  • Pgt47wj8x8
"Close to downtown la 15 min drive on a good day 30 minutes on a high traffic day over all easy to get around "
  • Trulia User
"Schools and education are very important in alhambra. Mandarin is taught in loca Montessori schools."
  • Lynnstoner.mansir
"There are a lot of dog owners here. There are two groups of dog owners and their dogs who meet at the park every afternoon - - one group for big dogs and one for small and mid-size dogs. Everyone is friendly. "
  • Mariela Cortés
"I’ve lived in Alhambra for 6 years and have not found a problem. The school districts are okay, not as great as others."
  • Trulia User
"I don’t actually know? Why is there a minimum requirement here! I don’t have enough to write. There’s trees and stuff. Dogs like trees"
  • Trulia User
"El sereno is not really safe. Do not move here lol. Unless you want trouble I would not suggest it. "
  • Veganltlbear
"Great for raising a family, parks close by, good schools, great downtown for many activities. Try to find one of the SFR zine areas and you’ll be happy "
  • Jmartinezucla
