From the first week the teachers all seem to know every child by name. Students are greeted each morning with an all-school assembly with drumming, singing, a welcome message by the Principal, and the school rock band rocking out. Its a fantastic way to start the day! 2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI overall had a horrible experience at brashear high school, before I get into it I wanna say that the nice thing about this place is most of the teachers, they were really nice and a lot of them were funny and engaging, aside from that the counselors are horrible, I was battling anxiety and depression my entire time there with little to no help, I was dismissed multiple times when I tried to explain I needed changes in my learning environment and eventually the counselors just seemed to completely ignore me, I felt extremely unsafe the entire time because I was expected to perform the same as all the other students while I was mentally and psychically (due to lack of sleep) disadvantaged. that's all I can really say about this school, im honestly disgusted and my life really hasn't gotten any better, I still struggle every day and my relationship with my parents was ruined because of what the counselors told them...if it weren't for the nice teachers i would rate this zeroStudent Review2mo ago - Pittsburgh Science And Technology Academy 6-12
