Franklin was once a true community school where students learned languages, culture, and values in an environment that brought families together. Unfortunately, over the past several years, the influx of parents with neurodivergent children have made it difficult for teachers to do their jobs. While student support and accommodations are an important part of any public school, it feels as though Franklins language focused program has taken a back seat. Whether intentional or not, this has contributed to an environment where the needs and expectations of many seem to outweigh the interests of the broader school community. Despite these challenges, I have seen encouraging efforts from Ms.Hilario. She stepped into a difficult situation and appears to be working hard to improve the school and restore focus to its core mission. Not to mention, the departure of Ms. Ouwleen left significant gaps in leadership and support, placing additional responsibilities on those who remained. Franklin still has many strengths, but I hope the school can refocus on the language learning experience and community values that once made it stand out.

this is the worst school ever teacher and staff think they are the boss of children here no one knows there rights in this school this is just like a dictatorship if u love ur kid u wouldnt take them here students are great there they dont respect u guys cuz they dont get any kind of respect learn how to do your jobs

Students bring weapons to school, 3-4 fights a day, teachers don't help students learn as well.
