"It’s a quite area I like it and I will choose it again if I find a bigger space right now am looking for. Bigger space. Again I wish they will have public transport because sometimes you don’t feel like driving, so they need to have public transportation. Again the area is very neat too, and hardly seen armed robbery or any terrible crime."
  • Kristina J.
"I’m not sure I don’t have any pets but I guess they would still like it here there is a beautiful dog park nearby at the Hammond/Highland border off of Indianapolis Blvd. Most dogs I’ve come across in the area are pretty well trained and friendly. "
  • Dawn B.

  • Karon H.

  • Guest

  • Madalinn V.
"It’s like most areas it feels safe unless something happens in your neighborhood. There are a lot of schools and parks nearby. Just always be alert of your surroundings!!"
  • Madalinn V.
"Just moved in. But I did see a few people walking their dogs. No one was using pooper scoopers!!! Not sure what they like or dislike. I dislike dogs pooping on my grass with their owners right there!!"
  • Simeonwilson33
"I live in the neighborhood for three years and I love it I love the community I love the people and I love Hammond overall"
  • Knutsenfam
"While one should be careful where one lives in Hammond, this is a fairly decent, and quiet area. (A family member has lived in this area a few years...I visit regularly both during the day and in the evening.) The mortgage would usually be much less than a moderate apartment. Schools are average to slightly below average. However, you are about 9-10 minutes away from various protestant/catholic schools. "
  • Alicedalla
"We have lived here for 35 years and have found it to be a wonderful neighborhood with great neighbors."
  • Karen B.
"This town had gotten worse by the year. We're moving to a town that keeps up and cares about it's appearance. They overlook businesses all over town that let their buildings go and my mother in law gets a notice for chipped paint on her front CEMENT porch? Ghetto atmosphere. "
