6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI dislike this school sooooo immensely it’s not even funny. I have never in my life seen such issues with bullying and even the front desk people think it’s funny to try and pick on me! (Mom) you all are absolutely unprofessional and you expect absolute obedience but can’t even get your stories straight. I will look forward to moving so much more than I ever have. You guys need a COMPLETE overhaul. I regret ever putting my children in this school. Shame on all of you.Parent Review2y ago12 Reviews - Middletown High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m not a student or a parent, but I worked at this school as a behavioral support specialist. The school offers a strong academic foundation, especially in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and English. Many of the teachers are truly talented and committed to their students’ learning, and that’s a definite strength of the school. However, I was disappointed by the functioning of the special education department. In my opinion, with a background in education and some child psychology coursework, more could be done to actively support and challenge students with special needs. I observed a lack of collaboration and consistency across staff, and at times, students weren’t fully engaged or supported, depending on who their assigned teacher was. There’s a lot of potential here, but I believe the special education program would benefit from stronger teamwork and a more student-centered approach.Additionally, more should be done to address and reduce tolerance of bullying. Every student deserves to feel safe and supported at school, regardless of their needs or background. I hope to see continued improvement in these areaOther Review1y ago8 Reviews - Forest Avenue School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school was ok, i had a couple problems before leaving the area with this school by what my child used to come and tell me…the teachers have this silly clip system where they had pink, blue, green, orange, red for good & bad behavior. My son came home scared thinking he was going to get in trouble by us because the teacher moved his clip to orange just for saying “white sucks” OBVIOUSLY my child was talking about the color to COLOR with, I don’t teach ignorance in my home so I know he wasn’t talking about skin color…also my son had problems with certain students being mean to him in class, when he would tell the teachers they would tell him to “Stop tattle telling” really??? So if my son was being bullied nothing would’ve been done about it since he was “tattle telling”…they also give easy work for 1st graders. We’re off to a different school now and he loves it where he is at momentarily than forest avenue. One more thing…they also have this principals awards thing and they choose and favor the PTA students every single time…Parent Review3y ago31 Reviews - Joseph Gaudet Academy

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have been disappointed in this school since my son started 4th grade here. The teachers do not send home progress reports regularly. They wait until the week before report cards to hold conferences and tell you that they would have sent a progress report home if it was needed only for you to receive the report card and be disappointed to see your child has some 2's which is not acceptable when the grading scale is 1-5. In fourth grade they also showed videos and had a discussion on puberty and such and I was not informed this would be happening so you can imagine my surprise when my son came home asking about babies and certain body parts. I noticed an email went out this year about it so I guess I was not the only one who was upset.Parent Review12y ago1 Reviews - Check out schools near 160 E Main Rd #72.

"Kids play with dead animals around here. Dogs poop is everywhere, no onenpixka up their dogs poop. Parking space are small best to park on the street, but the will be a fear of your car getting hit since the streets are so small."

"It's terrible, everyone is going the same road to get to work so some times it takes 30min of waiting in traffic to even get to work."

"Oxbow Farms i wouldn't recommended for anyone unless you are in situation were really don’t have a choice. Maintenance comes to fix your stuff always doing a halfway job leaving it worst then before. They will charge you for every single thing but when you move out they have 0 consideration for you and charge anything they can so they can keep part of your deposit. It’s ridiculous!!! Unsafe neighborhood people were actually kill there and find dead on their on homes. Police is always there for one reason or another. Office stuff only one of the worker there is nice. If you had another option I would take it. This would be your last resort."

"We don’t really have community events. I love near a church that will occasionally have a thing. Other than that, I don’t live in a “neighborhood”."

"My neighborhood is close to downtown Newport, but far enough away that you don’t have to go through downtown everyday if you don’t want to. Very dog friendly area, near a park and the tennis courts. Just near the highway/bridge. Quiet with a community feel to it."
